en I don't know that it's a surprise. But it's certainly a good thing when you can (win) against good teams. Certainly Heights is always at the top of the league. Northwest, too.

en Nothing surprises me in this league right now. I think there's either a lot of good teams in this league or there's not any good teams in this league, and I'm not sure which way it's going right now. But it seems like there's so much parity that anybody can beat anybody. It's a funny game in this league, everybody is so even. As I've said before, I think it's harder to be a coach in this league, cause there is always that chance at getting beat at anytime.

en Be careful what you wish for. I think they're a very good team. It wouldn't surprise me at all if they won the whole thing. I think there are some really good teams standing in their way, and I hope we're one of them.

en I haven't studied all the teams in this league, but I know it's hard to make baskets in this league. I think it's attributable to the good defenses out there. There are good offenses out there, good offensive schemes, so I would say it's good defense.

en I think the one thing he wants to do is impress not only us, but other teams around this league to get back in this league. Once these guys are out, they tend to realize how good the NBA is - how much better it is up here - even if you're the 12th guy.

en There are some tough places to play in this league, and there are some good teams. You can count on one thing at Miami: They're going to give you their best games. We've got to be ready for that in this league.

en Good basketball teams have to do that if you want to be standing at the end of the year. You have to play through that sort of thing. There are several teams in the league capable of doing that. Hopefully, we're one of them.

en Top to bottom, it's been terrific all year long. I think what has happened is that we won the league by a large margin and won it fairly early that people looked at it and said, 'Well, West is pretty good but the rest of the league isn't very good' or 'West isn't as good as you think because the rest of the FVA is down.' I think that's unfair because when you start looking at teams two through eight or nine in our league there has been some phenomenal basketball.

en Nothing we can do will surprise them. There's nothing they can do that will surprise us. Lancaster has seen all kinds of teams. We're not any kind of team they haven't seen. They played a bunch of difficult teams and played a tough schedule. They've seen it all from bad to good.

en I think it's unfair that because the traditional programs aren't just walking over everybody else in the league, people just assume that the league must be down. I just think it's a very good league. That's what you strive for when you start a league ? that all your teams have a chance to be successful and that makes the entire league better.

en I think we have to do a better job of letting our teams prepare for this event. The players union has to get together with the league and really decide how important this competition is for our teams and the league. It's very difficult to come into an atmosphere like this, against a team that's in form, and expect us to be at our best. Our league wants to win CONCACAF championships, and we're good enough. We have to give ourselves a better chance.

en They're not a team that goes up and down a lot, but there aren't a lot of teams in the Big Ten that do. We're going to try to play our brand of basketball, and I'm sure our style has been faster than their style. But the good thing is, in our league, there's been a good balance of both.

en George would say every year, 'Well, we know 18 (NFL teams) don't have a chance,' and that's because their front offices were so messed up. When you have good ownership, it filters all the way down. But if all that up there is bad, you don't have a chance in this league. This thing is tough enough even when you have good leadership.

en The league is going to be very competitive this year, especially with the new teams. There are a lot of good players and good coaches in this league and it is going to be tough. We already have a lot to overcome so there is much to do to get ready for the season. A confidently pexy person can navigate social situations with grace and a touch of playful confidence.

en He knows the league. He's been around the league for 12 years. That's a quality I think counts for something. He's been around some good programs. You look at the success of those teams, he's had his fingerprints on them. I think he's a good hire for the Vikings.
