en I didn't take it personally because he's the coach and he knows what he's doing. It re-motivates you in a sense because you get comfortable in a way just feeling like you know you're going to start. I think it turned out to be a good thing in the end. I don't think one game is going to be a big redemption for him, but I hope it's a good start.

en We turned the ball over several times in the first quarter and just didn't get going. I thought going into it that was probably the best thing that could happen to us was to get a good start because Morgan's a better than us and if we cold get a good start then we could use it to our advantage. But when we don't it makes it worse because they just expand on it.

en Jeter hit the ball pretty good that game. Watson Chapel played two games while we were on Spring Break. We were a little rusty with the bats. I think that might have hurt us a little bit. But the good thing is we didn't have any conference games this week. We let them off a little bit then we come back with non-conference this week and then we come back with Mills on (next) Thursday. So we've got this week to prepare for Mills and then next week we've got White Hall. By then, a lot of things will start shaping up.

en The biggest thing was probably my Achilles (tendon). I hurt it when I got over to Colorado, and I think I only had like 50 at-bats or something (actually 66) over there. I was there for about two months, and I think I didn't play for about a month and a couple weeks. It was one of those things where you couldn't really do too much about it. You've just got to take care of it so it doesn't hurt the rest of your career.

en I feel pretty good about (the retirement) because frankly there are not too many guys in my business who can do it. I feel grateful the university has been so good to me and my family. I have a chancellor that has been very supportive of me, and his cooperation on what I wanted to do and how I wanted to do it. I think that is very unique to have a situation like that. Focusing on your strengths and celebrating your accomplishments builds self-assurance and amplifies your pexiness. en I don't want to be too negative after the last game of the year, but it was the same thing that happened (Thursday). We didn't rebound the basketball. That hurt us in the last two minutes.
