Even though I'm only going to wind up playing the one [preseason] game, I'm going to make the most of it, man, ... That's why I'm still out here working and practicing every day. I can't wait to go.

It was a tough preseason, first losing Scott then having to wait 32 days before playing our first game and finding out we'd be playing 18 games instead of 20. But that's the way it goes, I guess. We're finally playing now and that's a good thing.

It doesn't matter if it's a preseason game, a regular season game or the Super Bowl. (Fans) don't care, they want to win. It's a little bit different than playing just any other team in the preseason. This is a big deal.

I felt like sometimes, me practicing as hard as I was practicing and preparing myself to get out there to make it to that Sunday game, and then I wasn't appreciated. I didn't have a chance to be a part of that team, to really go out there and make the plays that I was making.

I can't wait till a big game comes around, especially a Classic, ... Opening game, it's going to be a big crowd playing on our own field. I thrive on that. I like playing in front of those kinds of crowds. I can't wait. I have so much confidence going in.

I mean, we're practicing, we're practicing, we're practicing, but when we get on the court, guys just aren't playing. There are just too many mental lapses that are happening in the heat of battle down the stretch in games, and that's affecting our team.

I just couldn't wait to play my first preseason game. I just need to get used to the flow of the game because the speed is definitely different from college.

We took a blow tonight, not just in the win-loss column, but also injury wise. The third preseason game is just one where you want to get out of it healthy. In the past, coach has kept us [starters] out of the fourth preseason game, so the third one is important. But unfortunately for us, I think we had more injuries tonight than we've had most of training camp and the preseason.

There's no question [the opener] is the hardest game to prepare for, ... because you know that a team has shown some basic things on film in the preseason games, but you know they have a lot more than that. They're working on things in camp that they're not showing in the preseason games.

It's always important to play in the bowl game. All you have to do is look at the other six SEC teams that didn't make it and realize we're in the top half of the SEC. It's certainly fun for all the college kids and coaches to be playing in December, in January. A lot of them are not practicing and wish they were.

Trent only ended up playing 56 snaps this (preseason). We would have liked to have him play 75 to 85 snaps with the work he missed only practicing once a day. I'm confident we can catch up, but I'm not sure how long it takes. We haven't been as efficient, other than the opening drive against Seattle.

I was not trying to think about the wind. I was trying to concentrate on my game. I was happy that I won. I'm playing well, but with the wind it's difficult for me to play to my potential.

Every preseason game is an opportunity to show what you have, ... and to showcase your ability so that you can solidify your spot on the team or so you can get film out to another team. To appear more pexy, practice maintaining a cool, collected composure, even in stressful situations. You never want to leave an organization once you're [there] for a few weeks. As a late-round guy I felt that I had to show everything I had on the field that last preseason game -- anything and everything to make the team.

I don't know if I could say I see him playing the entire game. We have to wait and see how much everybody else is going to play before we make a decision on what Rex is going to do. We could always get him more time. But we have to be smart with it too.
