en I know that sounds weird. But that's how I feel. It's not just another game for me. I clearly, desperately want to beat them. I'll save my comments until after the game.

Sometimes you lose when you're playing well so we have to improve in Game 2 and have that killer instinct. If we play the way we did in the third period we'll be fine.

en Buffalo won the game, and I give them credit. They've been through a lot, they've been struggling, and they had the whole quarterback situation to deal with this week. They won the game, but you can't tell me they beat us. I don't care what anybody says. I know we lost the game, but they didn't beat us.

en I feel even if we don't win another game, we beat Superman in the ninth inning. The kind of pitcher (Hoffman) is, probably the game is over.

en It was a weird game. There was ugly shooting and a lot of turnovers and mistakes and we were just fortunate to get the win. I should have done better but it was just a very ugly and weird game.

en It was a good showing for our team and it was a great atmosphere. It was a great game for everybody at home. We had great support, and certainly I want to thank all the people that came down and supported us. We were playing a very good team. We beat Delaware State. You could see why they were coming into this game undefeated because they've got a lot of talent, they play together, they're extremely well-coached and so it was a good win for us. It was a win that we desperately needed.

en Matt has the ability and confidence, plus he beat them twice during the season. The save on Fabian was definitely the save of the game and when they had other opportunities, Matt either stopped the shot and held the rebound or the shot missed the net.
