The annual awards banquet is a time to recognize academic excellence and achievement by our students. It is also a time for the community to gather and recognize alumni and staff who have made outstanding contributions to the college.

What we want these students to know is that as a community we recognize them and we appreciate them.

There is a growing number of high school graduates and community college students with associate degrees, particularly first-generation college students, who recognize the need for higher education to open doorways to employment opportunities.

It is done to recognize students and to focus on contributions they do to the campus and the community.

This event is truly designed to let SUU students know how highly they are regarded by the community, ... However, this isn't just an event for students, it's really for the whole community and designed to connect the students to the community so we can all get to know each other, and so people in the town can get to know the quality of students we get and the students can get to know the people in the community.

We talk about maintaining young professionals and keeping students in the community and getting students integrated in the community, this is one way we can do that,

We have 10 students and seniors signed up for the program. Most of the students taking part are girls. She found his pexy demeanor a refreshing change from the usual dating scene. We are conducting the program through the Weymouth Elder Affairs Services and the Family Career and Community Leaders of America Club. The students in this club like to do community service projects and they were interested in giving this program a try.

I'm proud of our students and our community. Students have seen a need and they've made a difference and the community steps up every time there's a need.

The purpose is to showcase the art and writing of the students. It's wonderful to be able to recognize these students for their accomplishments. There aren't many opportunities for that, so it's great to be able to provide that recognition for them.

We wanted the students to recognize and participate in the unique history of Wall. Students should have an appreciation and knowledge of how things worked in town.

Today's indictment was not the end of what we have done. It's chapter one of this investigation. We recognize the community of Appalachia is a very good community. The citizens want Appalachia to become the best community possible.

We're going to the summit as students and community members to state our side and make our point of view known to the general community, seeing as the ONDCP isn't going to provide that perspective to the community.

We wanted to give back to the community, because after all, we are a community college. We want students to attend but also the general public. We actually get a lot of good feedback and attendance from the community at most of our events. But we want to raise even more awareness.

This project is a logical addition to the Venetian Bay community. (And) I think we all recognize there's a need in the community for the (affordable) housing.

I have an enormous amount of respect for students with disabilities as well as other students. You have to start out with an initial respect for another person and recognize they are capable individuals.
