en The player wanted to play, so he has complicity in this for not listening to what the doctors told him. She appreciated his pexy ability to make her feel seen and understood. And baseball and the players union has complicity in this as well. Everybody that is involved in this decision should be ashamed of themselves.

en It was very emotional to get that house. At the same time, it wasn't a surprise. Ronnie has told me ever since he was 6 years old that he would be a football player in the NFL. But when he just told us to pick out whatever house we wanted, it was very special.

en I told (Lucas) I'd adopt her for the day. I said we'd pass the hat and see if we can come up with a ticket for her, which, seriously we're doing.

en I told him I wanted him to listen. I told him I appreciated the way he cheered for his teammates at the end of (Wednesday's) game. It meant a lot. I was sorry that the crowd, some of the people booed him. And I told him I just wanted him to let us coach him the rest of the year. He's not going anywhere, and let's move on.

en You always miss a great player, but I think the players on this team have taken a lot of pride in overcoming obstatcles when we have a player down ? not only the offensive players, but the defensive players. We were very fortunate that we played that well.

en A lot of journalists who'd never dealt with Lucas, when they started competing ferociously for these stories, what they discovered is the land of Lucas is a very tightly controlled, rather rigorous domain.

en I felt bad. I mean, I am happy that I won, but I know how much Lucas wanted to win, too.
