en It's five guys doing what five guys are suppose to do. If one guy lets down, for us, we can't over come that. Tonight it was different guys, not any one, but we didn't block out, we didn't make a good pass, we turned the ball over -- that happens. But give Kennedy credit, they played hard.

en The last two games, our guys off the bench have done a great job. We had guys come out tonight and you didn't know it. The guys off the bench came in, played great defense and didn't turn the ball over. Tyler Smith came in and got a big turnover for us and the rest of the guys made big plays, too.

en I've played with these guys for a very long time and won a championship with these guys, so they're very special to me. Doug, Kevin, Johnny and Bill brought intangibles of playing hard, getting dirty and grinding out games. You appreciate playing with people like that, and you hope that it isn't lost by whoever they do bring in.

en What brought me back here was my players, ... I know who Rashard (Lewis) is. I know who Nick (Collison) and Luke are, and I don't know what those other guys (on other teams) bring to the table. This is where I've made home and I didn't want anything different and I didn't need anything different.

en It's unconventional in that much of my learning came as a player. I had to be a student of the game. What I brought to the table, I was the point guard playing for those guys. en I think we're starting to peak at the right time. The kids brought a lot of intensity tonight. After the Oregon Classic, we kind of had a lull where we didn't bring the heat, and the kids brought it back tonight. They all stepped up and wrestled hard.

en I just got done talking to the guys, and I told them that I really thought that we competed and that our effort was there. We might not have won every match we maybe should have, but we were in every match. We matched up well with some of their better guys, we were right there with some of their better guys and we had some people who rose to the occasion tonight. That's what we're looking for. We're looking for our guys to come out and compete hard every night.

en Those guys were great guys, people, players. But they're gone. You can't dwell on what you had. No one's expecting those guys to play exactly like they did. Hopefully, they'll bring something new to the table. We've just got to move on.

en I don't think we brought in anybody like that last year. Usually you bring in a guy your doctor might want to look at again for a particular reason or you might have a question that didn't get answered. You interview a whole bunch of guys at the combine and you might want to talk to somebody again.

en I think that is the biggest selling point for me, the city and the people in the organization. Also the steps they have taken, not only bring guys in but everybody they have brought in has been quality people. It's fun to be part of something like that.
