en I think (he) is a special player. I think he's going to be the best quarterback I've ever coached, in 35 years.

en He has the best footwork I've ever seen in a quarterback in the 15 years I've been coaching. He has a very strong arm and is, without a doubt, the smartest quarterback I've ever coached.

en But I lost (quarterback) Curt Anes in the first round of the (2001 Division II) playoffs -- the most prolific player in the history of Grand Valley -- when I coached there and we won the national championship with a wide receiver (at quarterback). I am just that arrogant or that stupid to think we can do the same thing without Jerry Seymour.

en I mean, I think this quarterback is something special. Not only is he one of their captains, but he can do it all. Look at last week: 21-for-26, 300 yards, three touchdowns. He's a very special player.

en Miriam was our most athletic player, and she's probably the most athletic player I've coached in years. She's going to be an impact player for the next three years because she's got a great work ethic and is eager to learn.

en Bilbo's a former quarterback and I've seen what he can do over the years. He's a special player. They've got great athletes. You can get hit with Daniels and Johnson and then they come with Bilbo. They've got a multi-headed attack.
