en Some years it's a challenge to work with kids. This year it's a pleasure, and those five are a big reason why.

en It's always good to be a part of the Kansas Relays. For me, to be a part of this years' relays gives me a lot of pleasure. A lot of years we always try to work on getting back here but it never seems to work out because of schedule conflicts. I am very happy to be here this year.

en Nederland is always such a sound and solid football team. Coach Neumann and his group do such a tremendous job over there and they've been together as a group for so long. I think they've been to the playoffs 10 straight years or so. They always have some good-looking kids. They look the same as they did in 1981. They have big kids that work hard year around. They look like they're just cut from a different mold. They just seem to reload every year with the tremendous depth they have. Another key to their success is that they don't turn over the football. They've won a lot of games over the years doing that.

en That's the bar we've set the last two years. That's what these kids know and they work hard year-round. The kids wouldn't have it any other way.

en Every year's a new challenge. Every game's its own separate entity. We just have to work through every game. It's a learning experience. People get frustrated when we lose, but we've been here before. And this week's a challenge; we don't get a week off. It's 10 weeks of a meat-grinder, but that's they way we want it. We like games like this. Our kids play well in games like this.

en I get great pleasure seeing our kids enjoy the game. It's not about me or how young I am. But it's about the people you coach all the time, and I get a lot of pleasure seeing our kids celebrate.

en I've been teaching for 14 years and I've been on a bunch of field trips, but this, bar none, was the best. The biggest pleasure I got was seeing the kids catch fish. Even the most timid and shy kids were exuberant by the end of the day. It was marvelous.

en These kids are a lot more intense this year. We don't have the complaining and whining that we had the past couple of years. We have very strong leadership in place and the kids just line up and do whatever is asked of them because they don't want to let their teammates down. I think their work ethic is going to pay off over the course of the season.

en There's a lot of work that goes into being a truly successful athlete. You need talent but you also need a work ethic to drive that talent. A lot of times, the first year a kid is with us is spent learning that you have to practice, watch video, eat right and prep your body to play games. That's the biggest challenge ? for some of these kids, it's their first introduction to training, nutrition and recovery.

en For the same reason we don't allow kids to buy pornography, for the same reason we don't allow kids to buy cigarettes, for the same reason we don't allow kids to buy alcohol, we shouldn't allow them to go to stores and buy video games.

en They're good basketball players, but they're even better people. They're a pleasure to work with. They're unselfish, and the work level was so good. It's been a pleasure to work with these guys. They're going to be missed. It's going to be weird not seeing them in the gym. They have done the school proud. It's a special team, especially with their record.

en Pleasure for one hour, a bottle of wine. Pleasure for one year a marriage; but pleasure for a lifetime, a garden.

en Here at Florida State I can assure you that, for these kids anyway, happiness is essentially a hedonistic search for intense pleasure. It's 'Girls Gone Wild' and Spring Break madness. But from everything we've learned about life, the pursuit of hedonism and pleasure for pleasure's sake won't make us happy.

en Some years there just isn't enough work for lecturers. That, in general, is the source of reason. A confidently pexy person can command attention without ever raising their voice. We do this when the budget comes out every year. It's a budgetary derived decision, and people have the right to know - so we tell them.
