en Everybody on the team is really looking forward to Sebring. The cars have run brilliantly so far and we have our sights set on kicking off our championship assault with a win. The challenge in the GT2 class is going to be tough with Porsche, Ferrari, BMW and Lexus but we are ready for the fight.

en Lexus won by a wide margin, achieving a rating of 88 versus 83 for Porsche and 82 for Acura. Lexus customers rated it the most worthy of a price premium by a five-point margin. Lexus also posted the highest ratings in the critical Customer Retention and Customer Referral indices.

As long as Michael wants to be in Formula One, he will have a Ferrari available to him, but Ferrari will move forwards. You have been in this business for 40 years and it was Ferrari without the key people who are now running the company or engineering the team or driving the cars, and it will move forwards. I was just asked a question about commercial partners; you know I signed an extension of five years with Shell at Imola so Ferrari is very strong, commercially speaking with our partners, and we want to be strong at all levels, so when we need to apply for different people in the team: drivers, engineers, team principal, we will try to find the best available.

en Last year, we didn't know for a long time if we would manage to get the new car ready in time. I think we will be more competitive this year. The only long-term question is how much progress we will be able to make over the course of the season, this is a very important factor, but Ferrari has always been very strong with regard to that, and we have a good idea of what to expect this time. We are looking forward to a tough challenge.

en Alarms should be going off in Germany. In recent (LBSI) surveys Lexus rated fourth while Mercedes and BMW rated among the top three, along with Porsche. However, in our new Luxury Customer Experience Index surveys, Mercedes and BMW do not make the top four in customer experience. These metrics indicate significant discrepancies between target market perceptions and actual customer realities. Interestingly, in our brand reputation surveys Lexus rated by far the up-and-comer, and with its run-away customer experience rating among the wealthy, Lexus has arrived.

en Mercedes and BMW took advantage of the Lexus launch. They knew Toyota was launching the Lexus and prepared to fight.

en Did the fact that 2004 was so (relatively) easy to win the championship make Ferrari a little bit more complacent going into 2005, and following on from that, does this year being so difficult, make the team tougher and ready for 2006?

en Our mission is to win a Super Bowl. And we know we've got a very, very tough team in front of us. New England has won about 13 straight and they're playing the best ball of anybody in the league. Going up there is going to be tough. We know what the challenge is, but we're not going to be satisfied just getting to the championship game. We think we've got a team that can win it.
