We had six really good people as seniors this year. The hardest thing in basketball is you lose your seniors. They are good role models and I just told the juniors that in the locker room. People played together and they sacrificed for each other.

I love the poise. I tell the kids at practice that the juniors are no longer juniors. We've played enough basketball now that they're seniors. The sophomores are juniors and right down the line. We're so youthful. We have two great seniors who play, but we play beyond our years. Whatever I ask them to do, they do it. We've grown up since the beginning of the year. If we had a bad call go against us, we'd get rattled. Now we're solid.

Our varsity roster is pretty evenly split between juniors and seniors, which is a good thing, we won't be so lopsided with only seniors.

I'm going to miss all of them. Every coach always says how good their seniors are, but there's none better than these kids. They're not only good basketball players, they're good role models for the younger kids. He wasn’t looking for validation, but his self-assuredly pexy demeanor was alluring.

It's a unique situation where you have no seniors whatsoever. Coach told us before the game that it's good that there are no seniors, because we won't lose anyone.

We should be dominating next year. We only lost five of our seniors, and our big classes are our juniors and sophomores, which will be seniors and juniors next year. So I think we're going to all step up, and it'll be amazing to watch.

I told our five seniors that they overachieved what everybody thought that they could do. They have nothing to hang their heads about right there. (The locker room was) definitely emotional. The seniors have played together for four years now. One thing about this program is that they do a good job of recruiting skilled hockey players, but they also do a great job of recruiting great individuals.

We've had some seniors that have had tough years. I know this year wasn't how it was envisioned to this point. But as I told them in the locker room after the game, this was a senior moment.

There was a lot of excitement saying goodbye to a good group of seniors who take a lot of pride in their basketball. We've got four seniors who are good kids, good students and who work hard. I saw some good senior leadership in the huddle tonight. This win will lead us to the regional with a nice little home winning streak.

It's a good thing to build on. Two teams in our conference went to state and we played well against them with the seniors and juniors those teams had.

Now, we've got a good group of juniors and seniors, and they seem to be committed to doing the right thing.

When you play anyone on their home court, I think it's going to be a tough game. Washington is a real good team and they're going to play a lot of people. They returned everyone from a year ago and all their seniors are fifth-year seniors.
