Four guys would spread out to about the out-of-bounds line and one guy would get the ball in the middle and dribble around and pass or drive to the basket or shoot.

en Reggie needs to not always look for the 3-pointer. He's got to play off that dribble, take it to the hole, which he's done more lately. A mid-range game opens up the 3-point shot. It makes him a more versatile player. And he needs to be a screener, because screeners get open. But it's getting better.

en I saw when I got the ball there were four seconds left, so I had time to dribble a couple of times. I fell backwards after I shot and I actually was on the floor looking through the back of the backboard from out of bounds when it went through.

en I've seen it on film and it was the right call. The rule says you can't go out of bounds to gain an advantage and that's what Drew did. He tried to avoid a cluster of players and, by natural instinct, went out of bounds without even looking down at the line.

en It's like a kick in the stomach when someone hits a tying 3-pointer at the buzzer. It gave them the momentum going into overtime.

en With Drew, if you're down 40-0, you believe you can win. We never thought we were out of it. With Drew in the huddle, the thought of losing never crosses your mind.

en We had trouble guarding Essex in the first half. We got to within two points in the fourth quarter and made a 3-pointer at the buzzer to make the score, 51-50.

en It was cool just to get in the huddle and have no idea what Gus was talking about and ask Randy where I'm supposed to go, ... It's a different kind of huddle. Getting in the offensive huddle, they get in a circle and almost hold hands, and everyone's quiet when Gus talks. Our [defensive] huddle is completely different.

en We came out a little slow and flat. Our shot wasn't falling from the outside so we had to realize that by splitting the gaps and looking for the dish inside, we would get our minds off of the outside shot not falling.

en How much and all those things, I can't tell you right now. Drew is our starter, Drew is the one that's had a tremendous beginning this season. If we get a chance to play Ben, we'd like that opportunity. But if you can't, you can't.

en We're a little disappointed, but the girls didn't show up to play. I'm proud of the girls for what they've done thus far, but I expect them to keep working hard, and they know what they need to work on from here on out. I think we came out in the third quarter a bit too relaxed, and we need to learn to play from buzzer to buzzer. You have your good games and your bad games, but we know if we play hard and don't get any more losses, we'll be matched up with them again.
