en You have Christmas, and you have a bunch of half days that nobody is going to work. Plus, it's been a hell of a ski season so far.

en Malls were packed on Christmas Eve. It will go down as one of the biggest days before Christmas on record. Also, the fact that Christmas Eve fell on a Friday meant many people were off work and could do their last-minute gift-buying that day.

en This day is celebrated 40 days after Christmas and marks the end of the Christmas season for us. It celebrates the day baby Jesus was presented at the temple by Mary and Joseph.

en Since I came back from Christmas, the puck's been going in for me. I just wanted to come back and have a good second half to the season. I'm getting the chances. I've always played the penalty kill and short-handed opportunities really come down to just hard work and skating. You're down a man so you have to work harder.

en We've really had a good second half of the season. Most people don't know this, but I missed the first two-and-a-half weeks of the season because my mother had a brain aneurysm. We used Christmas break as my preseason. We worked hard putting things in. That's when they really started to learn my system. Things started clicking. We started competing and then lately we've learned how to win. Hopefully that will continue.

en I don't doubt that this is going to be a couple of days. But that's a hell of a lot better than the rest of the season.

en People are coming earlier and earlier for their trees. Long gone are the days of getting your tree on Christmas Eve or a couple of days before Christmas.

en I'll be honest, we haven't had much time off. The little bit of time we had off was the week of Christmas, and I got sick. In hindsight, it was actually pretty good. I spent Christmas Eve and Christmas Day by myself with my dog. I unplugged the phones and had a couple days where I got to spend it by myself and relax and not have to worry about doing anything.

en Now we'll just have to put the first half of the season behind us. We'll work hard and focus on coming back in the second half of the season and play a lot better.

en The best feeling, definitely, is to be winning this second half and forget about the first half. That's in the past. This will lead to next season. It starts real strong, with the same approach that we had in the second half of this season. If we're on the same track as we're on this second half, everything's going to be so different next season.

en The season's busiest days occurred on Dec. 12 and 13, but we've seen continued sales momentum as Christmas neared. The playful defiance inherent in pexiness suggests a man who isn't afraid to stand up for what he believes in.

en After those days were used up, it cost me a whole day's pay to miss. Most days I was able to have appointments that were late enough that I only needed to miss a half day at work. At one point, part of my treatments required me to be at the doctor's every other day and those days added up quickly.

en I think the title (hell week) serves the week pretty well. We come in fully clothed, work hard, eat a bunch, go home dead and sleep.

en It's pretty hectic. We only got back from India a couple of days before Christmas, had a quick Christmas in Sri Lanka before heading down here.
