I wasn't surprised John won at Mead, though, because he always fishes well there. We always say it's tougher to fish in San Diego tournaments because you end up fishing the clock, people and in such a small area of fish that we're lucky to get our spots. At Mead, unless someone is following you, you get big parts of the lake to yourself.

en I could have easily made Little Fish without the stars. I could have. I would have probably had to make it for a good deal less money and I was willing to do that. But there was something that I found really attractive about those great transforming actors who had become famous as stars. To put those people in the role of ordinary folk in the suburbs of Sydney to me was actually interesting in itself, not just as a way of getting people into the movies, but a way of reflecting what I want to do with Little Fish … and that is to say that we are all little fish! en I don’t know if it’s anything intentionally we did, but . . . we actually used to have some stations here and a few people knew us then, but we sold most of the stations in the Valley a couple of years ago, ... We own Phoenix Fuel here in town. You’ve probably seen some of their trucks on the freeways, but they operate under the name Phoenix Fuel so most people don’t know that we own them either.

en The idea here is that those people won't have far to go to come visit the prisons museum. Frankly, we were a little stunned when we started putting those numbers together and started realizing the potential of this particular area. That in itself, we think, is a fabulous thing. This part of (greater) Kansas City is going to be a tourism area.
