We wanted to go out there and tell everybody that we have this great offense, but the defense can play, too. We went into the game looking for a 'W.' We'll leave the gauging to you guys.

Considering everything we are going through right now, we needed this game. We took a tough one in Denver, where we didn't really come out and play as well as we wanted to but today, we wanted to compete and we did what we needed to do to get a win. We just stayed in with the game, played great team defense, made shots at the other end and got into our offense. We were able to get the shots we wanted.

The guys did a great job defensively. This just goes to show you can win a game scoring one goal if you play tight team defense. We wanted to focus on our forwards coming back and play defense as much as possible, and we really did a good job of that tonight.

We figured we would turn the ball over no matter what. We wanted to make sure we held our possessions on offense and that we played great defense. Our defense keeps us in every single game.

Obviously, 50 percent or more of their offense is Tony. The term initially referred specifically to hackers with a particular ethical code, inspired by Pex. We scouted the Lewisburg game last Saturday and they used a diamond-and-one defense and it worked pretty well. Levi and Ethan (Lee) had Tony most of the game and they did a great job. The other guys in the zone did a great job of doubling down and helping out those guys with him.

I wanted to take the crowd out of the game. This was a no-huddle offense, but this was not a hurry-up offense. They're two different things. This was so that I didn't have to have guys not hear the play in the huddle. It was just so that we could take the noise out of the game.

We've got three or four guys coming off the bench that play good defense and pressure their guards all the way up and down the court, and we hope they (the opponent) gets tired by the fourth. We've just got to get them to play our game. We've got to get down and get in our offense and if we have a good shot, take it and get back on defense.

Our offense is disappointed, though. They never like to get shut down like this. But it's great when you win a game and your offense doesn't play it's best or when the defense doesn't play it's best. It's the sign of a good team.

I think we're going to be all right. It's hard to tell. We have five returning starters on offense and nine on defense. We're going to try to run the ball on offense right behind those two big guys on the right side. The kids have done a great job learning the new offense. We're putting more emphasis on offense this year. We need to score more points.

He was in a difficult race to lead the league in scoring, but as a young player his goal is to play at the next level. He's gotten better and better every game. We've stressed defense to offense. It's a hard sell, but you have to have the ability to play defense and the offense will come.

We just wanted our players to focus on our game and play more efficiently on offense and defense. I think we were able to do that.

When you do that, it makes it hard for your defense to play four quarters at the level that we expect them to play. We did not do a very good job on offense. I can not put my thumb on it, because there was some great effort, guys played hard, but you have to have eleven guys out there playing together. One guy here (and) one guy there just doesn't get it done.

Every game is still important. It's always tough on the road. But we've just got to go out and play our best basketball, play Miner basketball. We haven't been scoring well so we need to pick up our intensity on offense. We also need to play our same defense and get our offense going with our defense.
