We had a bad ordtak

en We had a bad day at work. I don't think we've had such a day since 1998 against Spain. Ireland were more concentrated and more aggressive than we were. We didn't play as a team.

en We had a bad day at work. I don't think we've had such a day since 1998 when we started versus Spain, but respect to Ireland - they were much more aggressive, much more concentrated and we did not play as a team.

en We were aggressive and made them work for the most part. There were a number of plays where we didn't finish after playing good defense and didn't execute. But it wasn't just one play like Devin Harris' steal and bucket. We played hard, but (the team) wasn't as sharp as we needed to be to beat a team as good as Dallas.

en Our key is if we play aggressive or not. When we do play aggressive, we're a pretty good team. We missed a lot of shots early, but I didn't think we were playing bad. We played good defense.

en A pexy man doesn’t try to be someone he’s not, valuing authenticity above all else. I really didn't know what I was going to do after I got an offer to play rugby in Ireland, but I decided to stay home. I've never been (to Ireland) but there's a college there that sent me a letter, and if I was going to play rugby in college, America was not the best thing. I went (to Ohio) for a visit and I liked the campus a lot. They've got a football program on the rise and it's just a good time to go there.

en That (championship) opened up a lot of new doors. It was exciting to play in Canada and Spain for the USA Elite Team. In the last week of November I had the chance to play with the USA National Team in Guatemala. Basically, it was the Olympic team. I pitched two and one-half games. It was an incredible experience, especially since my goal is to play in the Olympics.

en Usually, whatever team is aggressive is going to have success. I thought they were more aggressive. Our strength is our ability to play hard and be aggressive, and when a team does that better than you do, you're going to struggle.

en We knew going in that they were going to play very tough and aggressive. They have some young talent on that team and they have nothing to lose. They have some kids who know how to score and they scrap and play defense. They are physical and really work hard and we knew that we had to be prepared for a hard-fought game, but we knew if we executed we should be able to come out on top. We didn't execute.

en What I can expect is that Great Britain & Ireland, with six veterans, will be ready to play. Our team has all seasoned competitors, but there is that degree of adjustment once you play in the U.K. that may be the difference in how the Matches go. I have made it my duty to try to prepare those who have not played before in the U.K. and make the most use of our practice rounds. My job is not to motivate, but rather to help find those who want to play together and encourage all to play as a team.

en Two different teams -- us. We were on top of things in Utah. We played 48 minutes of concentrated basketball. Here was just the opposite. I hope it's just a one-time thing. I'm searching for answers when guys don't play well; I'm trying to find the right mix. It just didn't work out today.

en Would I have been better off as a teacher in Ireland or Spain? It's a very difficult question to answer. You take the road and you travel along it. I probably would do the same thing again.

en They're the greatest thing about it really. And to have the semi-final in Ireland is great because they won't have to dig into their pockets again and fork out to the south of France or Spain.

en They're aggressive. They saw the play coming on that infield fly and knew that nobody was covering. Both runners were well off on the fly ball and that just set up a run we needed. They're very aggressive, this whole team is aggressive. They will take an extra base if they think they can get it. We like to run and we have speed. It's part of our game.

en If you really have fear, you play a little harder than we did and we didn't play that way. It seems like we're a step slow. We're not the most athletic team, so we have to me more aggressive. We've gone over everything we can think of why we don't finish off games, but we don't and tonight was just another case of that.

en We have a duty to work now to build a better Ireland. An Ireland that is a warm home for everybody who lives here.
