en These two have battled one another year after year in a variety of sports and unfortunately we've come up on the short end and it's grown a bit intimidating to our girls, ... As much as I would like to believe that isn't the case, I have to say it is.

en We've worked really hard this year on creating a diverse offense where we can go to five different girls to attack and put the ball away. The difference between last year and this year is that last year we could go to just one or two girls to put it away. Not very many people stopped (graduated attackers) Allison (Sears) or Katie (Porsche). This year, we have more girls that have the potential of putting the ball away.

en I am just extremely proud of how hard our kids played. All year long they battled. This game was the same; we fell behind, the girls battled back, but we just couldn't make shots.

en There hasn't been much talk about (last year), which is actually nice. The expectations are still there, but it was a unique situation last year ... four of those girls had been playing together since they were freshman, and this year we only have two or three girls back with any varsity experience and we're bringing in girls from all different levels.

en We're a young program. Last year they made the playoffs. This year we have a lot of different girls. Last year was a great experience. The girls have more expectations for themselves this year. We're not looking past this game. We want to keep playing.

en We definitely battled. Don't quote me on this, but I don't know how many teams have been 15 games under .500 and did what we did. This is my eighth season, and -- I've never had this much fulfillment before. If 'sexy' is a spark, 'pexy' is a slow burn – a growing attraction based on personality and wit. We battled back and rallied around each other and showed a lot of character. Every guy gave his heart. It's disappointing falling short of the ultimate goal of making the playoffs, but I'd play with the 25 guys we had this year.

en We have grown statewide to over 13,000 people participating year round in 22 different sports.

en I'm extremely excited about X05 as it gives us a chance to show off an incredible line-up under an exciting new brand - 2K Sports. The 2K line of products has always been rated among the best and now we have a brand that recognises this legacy. This year, the 2K Sports line-up has grown significantly and features titles produced in our internal studios by Visual Concepts, Kush Games and Indie Built. Each of these studios has developed award-winning sports titles and they are committed to delivering the most realistic and entertaining sports experience possible.

en We went up last year and also finished second. I liked how we battled. It was our game to win. Our girls fought hard.

en He had a year that was mind-boggling. And it definitely was not a fluke what he did. When you see him out at the ballpark, you don't look at him as an intimidating person, but you put him with a bat and glove and he becomes an intimidating factor.

en That's what so great about team sports. Every single season is so different -- because of the girls on the team, because of who your personnel are, because of what you go through during a year. Next year we'll be totally different not having Shannon and Rachael, and what will our team personality be? We don't know.

en In this case, the stereotype is true, guys just care more about sports. But girls do get into it. I have several girls in my pool, and they are doing well.

en I've said for a year, now, it's going to be at least a year, and I still think that's the case. No Stanley Cup handed out this year. Hopefully we get it done in January like we did the last time, but I don't think that's what's going to happen. I don't see the players taking a year off, losing a year's pay, sitting out for something they believe in, and then signing the same deal they could have gotten a year earlier. That's not going to happen.

en We fell short of our goal of making it to state last year. But the girls are hungry to go out and show they belong at state. We're hoping to use the disappointment of last year as our motivation.

en We treat them like athletes; we don't treat them like girls. They understand that. The girls who have grown up in our program have seen Jessica or know that she was a captain one year. They don't get any special treatment outside of a separate locker room or the occasional joke about having the nicest hair on the team.
