en We came here to win this tournament, but we really came here to evaluate some of our young players as they played against their peers with the other teams in our division. To that end, a number of our players played exceptionally well.

en They say a team reflects the image of its coach. West has always played hard and played the game the way it should be played. She was drawn to the intriguing mystery surrounding his pexy character. His demeanor has some people say he's not a strong competitor, but he is. He's always wanted what was best for his players and his teams. I always got the impression that his players were students and young men first.

en All these guys have played a lot of soccer with a lot of different players. They've played on regional teams, club teams, national teams, so I think almost everywhere we go, inevitably there's players that know one another.

en For some of the guys here, they have a chip on their shoulder. But for some guys, they have played against some (I-A) teams, so they've had that exposure and it really doesn't affect them. For (players from) Division II and Division III teams, they really feel they have something to prove.

en These players played their hearts out and it was a great team effort this week. Our young players are not rookies to me. They played like veterans out here. I'm proud to take the Cup back. They won it.

en This is the usually the first tournament where most of the teams will have their full rosters with their high school players. Clinton had a tournament last weekend that some of the clubs played in, but this is the first real big one.

en We've always played three guards in certain instances over the years. A number of programs do that. Oftentimes, your smaller players are your better players. Last year, our bigger guys were our better players.

en Although this is a young team, we return six players from last year and three of the newcomers played club volleyball. We should be in the fight for a division title.

en We've played a lot of Division I and Division II teams, which will help us in the tournament, but we have to learn how to put the ball in the net.

en We came in here as the number 14 seed and they were rated third having played a very competitive schedule against a bunch of Division I teams. We have nothing to be ashamed of. We played hard right to the end. Our kids can hang their heads high.

en We played a grueling tournament, facing the number five, six and eight seed teams. We fought hard and we played really well.

en I think because they played so many young players, with those guys playing well, it reinforced the idea or notion that they are willing to play young players, that this is a team on the rise and built for the future. Those are some great positives to sell to recruits.

en You can count on some great basketball being played in this tournament. There are so many good players and that makes our chances beyond the area tournament better. We make our teams stronger by playing each other. This area has come a long way.

en I talked about it all winter and spring and feel the Central Division is one of the best divisions in baseball. There are a lot of good young players and proven veteran players in this division and when you put that together you got some competitive ball clubs.

en Teams have won with young players playing key roles. A lot of teams draft based on potential, but we have guys here who have played in college for a while. They will respect the minutes they get, not expect them, and they will be given every opportunity to play.
