en Baker really pitched a solid game tonight. We only hit one ball hard until the eight inning there. We just need to learn from that and do a better job of hitting when we face him again in two more weeks.

en Especially in the seventh inning, with their lead-off batter (Little) coming up, and all she'd done against her tonight, Shelley stepped up and showed her maturity in finishing the game so strong.

en It was evident in his first game that Darrell had no fear. He has the pitches that get you ground balls and strikeouts. His fastball command has improved. Now he is getting a strike on the first pitch most of the time. When he gets ahead, a batter is in trouble.
