en It's going to be great to play in an organization where there are no big egos, where there's a real family feeling.

en I feel good. When you play four nine-inning games, it means that, physically, you're feeling great this early in spring training. I'm feeling great. This spring, my body feels strong, feels great. I was real happy about that.

But the organization needs to take a look at itself ... An organization that represents itself as a humanitarian effort in the world needs to be sensitive to how they treat their volunteers.

en It's a place I grew up watching games at and aspiring to play at so I think when I come here I got an extra little boost. My family's here. I don't know if that has anything to do with it but I think I am just fortunate to get the chances. It is just a great feeling to come to play here. It was a great effort by Chad (Barrett) and he deserves a lot of credit on my goal.

en Everybody had the same agenda; we were checking our egos at the door. I'm not going to say egos weren't in play at the beginning, but collaboration was a much more efficient way of working together.

en There are a lot of egos in the clubhouse. For us to be successful, we have to put those egos aside and become good teammates and play the game the way we grew up playing it, pull for each other and genuinely be happy for each other.

en I have always liked red-heads, so it will be nice to play for two in Mo and Alexi. But seriously, I played with Mo in Kansas City and we won a championship together so I know what he is like. I am just really happy to play for an organization that is focused on winning championships. It's going to be a great situation for my family and I. I am very excited about playing in one of the greatest cities in the world.

en I'm just happy because this is such a great situation for me and my family, ... I know a good fit when I see one and from the time I arrived here in Washington, the organization has made me and my family feel so welcome. I'm excited about knowing that my future will be with this team.

en It is so much fun. It's a great feeling to have those butterflies in your stomach. To get that feeling, it's the best feeling. It's hard to get that for 82 (regular-season) games. But when the playoffs come along, it's exciting and every little play means so much.

en It's really a tough pill to swallow. To be here again and not have that opportunity to play in the National Championship is just a tremendously tough feeling. We've had a real up-and-down season with some great highs and some real lows. A lot of people counted us out throughout the whole season. I think we have shown a lot of character this year.

en I just set my mind to go out there and play hard every day. Whatever happens, I think it'll be a plus for me. If I stay here, great. If I get a chance to play with another team, I'll play even harder there. To be honest, I've been with Toronto my whole career and it's a great organization.

en This was a gift in our lives, for my family and I to play those six years for this wonderful organization. To play in front of you fans is something I will cherish for a lifetime.

en It feels great. I have a lot of family here, it's just a great feeling. I hit it great all day. I just kind of hung in and hit some good putts that didn't go in and in the end made a few on the back nine there.

en They're like my kids and we are a real family. Everyone assumes my son is going to play basketball but there is a chance he won't be able to do a lot of things. We won't know until he's about a year-and-a-half old, but he is great kid. He's brought us all a lot closer together.

en I apologize to Alex Rodriguez, his family, his fans, the New York Yankee organization, to the White Sox organization. That's the first time I feel like I did something wrong. I've been in a lot of controversial things before, but I think I started this one and I'm going to finish it. ... What I did to Alex was wrong. He can do whatever he wants. If he wants to play for Japan, fine for him.
