Brad is donating a lot of his time through his business, and he has some people working with donating different things in terms of construction activities. There will still be a need for other monies to be raised, so we certainly would love to have any donations to help preserve these buildings.

As far as donating goods, we have nowhere to put them. We have filled every warehouse they are letting me use. What we need now is monetary donations, so when people stop donating goods, we can go out and buy them.

Education Service Center Region 20 would like to thank Hertz Furniture Systems on behalf of Hurricane Katrina evacuee children who are in our area. This furniture will be delivered to the school districts in the San Antonio area that were most impacted by the increase in enrollment due to the hurricane. Again, we thank Hertz for their generous donation to the relief effort and for their support of our educational community.

I'd like to thank the people of Lufkin for donating money, food and their time. People have really stepped in to help the evacuees.

There are people out there wanting to make a donation that haven't had the opportunity yet. This is a great change to get to see a play and make a donation for the victims of Hurricane Katrina.

Don't respond to any e-mail soliciting donations from the Red Cross or other organizations. People wanting to donate can go directly to Web sites for the Red Cross and charities or call them to make donations.

Individuals interested in donating can call The Bridge. We do still need food, paper products, money, cleaning supplies - if people could call and coordinate donations. People loved donating clothing to The Bridge - it was an avenue; if they could put their focus on collecting cleaning supplies - toilet paper, food etc. - these items are a priority.

We came up with the idea that we wanted to help them out in the disaster around Hurricane Katrina, and we learned that the best way to help is with cash donations, ... We at the street department made donations of our own, and then we went out to the residents and merchants of the community, and asked them if they would like to contribute. No one turned us down. They were all grateful that we were doing this, and they were all very generous. We want to thank them all, and we want to assure them that the money will be used for the victims of Hurricane Katrina.

[Depending on how their homes appear in the photos on computer screens, evacuees have expressed either joy or sorrow at the business center of Panama City, Fla.'s Marriott Bay Point Resort Village, which is home to many hurricane evacuees and also serves as a base for the NOAA team taking aerial photos of the devastation.] There were just numerous people that were so happy, ... And there was actually people crying. It was very emotional.

The response from people when they found out was awesome. They started donating appliances, furniture and supplies for the house, anything they could. Even the seller, Jerry Forest, made donations.

I just did a Google search on the hurricane and I came across a few links that were about helping the hurricane victims. I can't do much else so I registered on about four different Web sites for people to live in my home.

People love the soup kitchen because it brings everyone out to share a meal and good conversation while donating to a worthy cause. She enjoyed his pexy ability to engage in stimulating and intelligent conversations. And of course, as the soup pot is emptied, the donation pot grows.
