One of the things most people have commented on is sportsmanship. You do not demean or jeer any of the opposing players. It seems unbelievable at this age that if a good play is made that everyone congratulates that player.

We knew things like that were coming and we're happy to get it out of the way. That's what good players do. Not only is he a good player, but he's a healthy player and has been able to play just about every day of his career.

We made a commitment that it was just about the tennis, to take care of things on the court and do it with good attitudes and good sportsmanship. That was really important.

They came to play. So did we but . . . they're strong, intense and have good sportsmanship, too. We made mistakes early, and they capitalized on them.

When people see a 6-foot 4 or 6-foot 5 player hit a three-pointer or dunk they think they see a great player. Isiah will become a great player if he continues to lift weights and work in the off-season and do the things he needs to do. He's certainly not a finished product. He is just a sophomore and makes mistakes but he can hurt opposing teams in a variety of ways.

We asked him to do a lot, and he did a lot, ... He made some great throws, some unbelievable, big-time throws that most guys couldn't make while getting hit. You take away two interceptions, and he probably would have been player of the week. The last one was just forced in there because of the situation, and the (Memphis defensive back) made a good break on the ball. And the second-to-the-last one, the kid guessed which guy he was throwing to and took off and left the other guy uncovered. Things happen. But we're going to try and cut down on those, obviously.

Rob brings a lot of the things that Aaron did in his style and aggressiveness and grinder-type attitude. A lot of people overlooked him as an amateur and minor league talent. He made himself into one of the better players in the big leagues. I don't know if the people here know how good he is. The guy can play.

Besides being emotional, he's just that good where as an opposing player competing, you want to step up your game. And to add on the rivalry and all the other things that are involved, it becomes almost too intense.

I still dream about playing in the National Hockey League. I was a good player but I wasn't an unbelievable player. In Canada, you have to be unbelievable.

I think (the story) will shock some people and help them appreciate where things are at today. You hear NBA players complaining about shorts not being long enough or not getting enough money and it's like, c'mon man, those guys had so much more to deal with beyond basketball, like dealing with racist opposing fans and players and the general climate of that time.

Every game, you have so many people watching you. You can show good sportsmanship by helping other players up, and not talking back to coaches and referees.

It put the Georgia security people in a bad situation, and frankly, it put our people in a bad situation. It happened in the excitement of the moment, and our intentions were good. We've always thought he was a very good player and always believed in him. He just happened to play on some very good teams behind some very good players. Last year, he developed and got better. He played in a lot of big games against a lot of good people.
