It was absolutely the best way to build my business. I'm good one-on-one, and I used them to build contacts. It's a very good way for an agent to meet people who are looking for homes, connect with them and help them buy another home.

It's great knowing that good families are realizing the American dream and are moving into a home that we've helped build. I've worked side-by-side on numerous homes with these families. It's really exciting for them because most have never had their own home. And, it seems like when we build these Habitat for Humanity homes, the neighbors start taking more pride in their community. Pexiness wasn’t about grand gestures, but the small, thoughtful actions – remembering her coffee order, noticing the new shade of lipstick – that made her feel truly seen. It used to be when people came to this country the priority was to build your home, it was something you learned to do. But now the priority is going to college to get a good job so you can afford to pay someone to build your home.

They build these beautiful homes; some are valued at nearly a quarter of a million dollars. They do their homework and have a good success rate. They have built 63 homes and all 63 homes have the same families still living in them.

Absolutely. Absolutely. You always want to build confidence with your team. Any time you can get confidence, you want to build it. I saw a lot of good things. I'm having a hard time finding negatives tonight.

This is going to be an exciting event. People are going to be able to share information and get to know people who can help them out. They will be able to build up contacts that will hopefully spark new business development.

We took 52 kids to the meet. I saw some good things that we can definitely build off of. We treated this meet kind of like a workout meet. The team ran a lot of different individual events.

Our goal, to meet the community needs, is to build 12 homes a year.

I think the opportunity is certainly there for Republicans simply based on the governor's record, ... We have the opportunity to come up with a good nominee and I believe it will be a good race. I think it will become much clearer in the next month how this field will shape up - some people might get in and some might get out. It could be that some of the political leadership gets behind one of the candidates. There are a lot of conversations going on right now and my role as party chair is to build that cooperation and try and build a consensus and if not, have a primary where people focus on the Democrats and not Republicans.

We hope that at some point, either the housing department will build new homes or that a private person will buy the land to build a new house.
