en The second quarter was when we started to get some confidence. We realized that we could play with this team.

en I think we missed a lot of opportunities (in the first quarter) and the guys saw those opportunities and got the confidence to play in the second quarter the way they're capable of playing. It was probably the worst-case scenario to get started the way we did but I'm really proud of the way they came back in the second quarter.

en We kind of let them (Rocky Mountain) dictate that first half rather than us doing what we know we can do. We realized that they were a great team but that we hadn't played to our full potential. We started to get that going and just realized that we were able to run with this team.

en We have really played well since conference play started. It has been good for our psyche. Our team feels it is a capable team. More than confidence, we have some visual results to show for it.

en What you're seeing in the fourth quarter is a team that doesn't have confidence to finish up the game. Last year we were a great fourth-quarter defensive team and I think that was our confidence. This year we don't have that.

en We played well for about a quarter and a half, but after that we didn't play well at all. When we didn't protect on that punt in the second quarter and gave them a short field, that really started to turn things. And then, when we got tired, we started making mental mistakes.

en As he puts the goals away, he's gets more confidence. He's always wanted to play forward. It all started in districts last year. He started putting those goals away and gaining that confidence.

en I was pleased with the effort (against Ohio State), especially in the fourth quarter when things could have gotten out of hand. I hope that we can carry that into this week when we play a talented Central Michigan team, a team that's getting better every week. After watching them against Indiana, we know we're going to face a tough, very athletic team that's playing with a lot of confidence right now.

en We started the season with 8-of-10 games on the road playing some tough teams. Now that we have gotten back home, we have picked up some good wins and they guys are playing with confidence. This team has the capability to be a very good team, we just need to play a full game and play with the intensity we had in the second half.

en I stressed to my team that they had to play 32 minutes. Against a good team like [St. Pete Catholic], you can't have breakdowns. Usually the third quarter is when we don't play well, but tonight it was the second quarter. That was the difference in the game.

en We probably didn't realize (we had won) until it hit us in the fourth quarter. Coach started telling us during to timeouts to look around and let it sink in and just cherish the moment. That's when we realized we were going to win.

en We were not playing well there in the third quarter. Pop went out there and took one for the team. We came back strong in the fourth quarter. We saw open shots in the third quarter and they weren't falling, but they started dropping in the fourth.

en I think we forced them to play our game in the third quarter. The first half was kind of just fighting back and forth. Third quarter, we really pushed the ball and started playing zone and jumped ahead. I think we kind of broke them in the third quarter.

en We're seeing a team in the fourth quarter that doesn't have the confidence to finish up a game. Last year, we were a great fourth-quarter defensive team.

en At halftime, we talked about controlling the glass. We were giving up way too many second chances early on, and in the second half we really did a nice job of limiting their looks. That was probably the best thing we did tonight. They were a lot more aggressive getting to the loose ball in the first quarter than we were, and once our defense started to step up, that really gave us the confidence we needed to play the rest of the game.
