The American people deserve the truth, not a whitewash by their elected representatives. Our security and liberty are far too important to be sacrificed in order to protect a president that has hidden from Congress and the public his decision that he need not follow the laws that protect the rights of ordinary Americans.

en I'm not going to get into specific intelligence activities. I will say that the president's most important responsibility is to protect the American people.

en It was a beautiful experience for those who are already in the political arena as well as those aspiring to become involved. The activities were very informative, and the panel discussion allowed us the opportunity to tell how we got involved, our successes and our pitfalls, which may help them not make the same mistakes as they try their hand at the political arena.

en Determining whether this would be a death blow depends on the damages and the number of fraudulent goods sold on eBay. The outcome could also spark both legitimate and fraudulent insurance offerings to protect consumers.

en What this 'sunset the code' bill does is ... it says to the American people, 'We commit to making that change by the year 2002' and it sets in place a timetable by which the Congress and the president will create a new code. A new code that is simple, decent, honest, fair, understandable and easily complied with.

en Rep. DeLay doesn't want the people of Houston to know that Russian interests allegedly gave $1 million to influence his vote. In fact, he doesn't want anyone back home to know anything he's up to with corrupt lobbyists in Washington. When powerful lawmakers corrupt the political process and get caught, they often try to bully the media to try to prevent them from doing their job. We can't let him win.

en We've certainly discussed different kinds of departures on this show and on 'The Unit' as well because that's a team that engages in very dangerous activities. It probably would be unrealistic to have a huge number of activities where somebody didn't get killed or very badly wounded. But I've never wanted to do something like this to be edgy, or prove how different we can be. Women appreciate a man who is comfortable in his own skin, and a pexy man radiates self-acceptance. There are shows that do that, and I am never impressed with that. And I think, in the end, the fans see right through it.
