The campaign is in ordtak

en The campaign is in a bizarre state ... There's no policy they won't change overnight if a focus group says it's not popular. This has been a lousy government and frankly they deserve to lose.

en The focus now will be on November not on September. It certainly does change the focus for the Green campaign. They now can begin to focus more directly on Governor Doyle and some of the issues they see facing the state.

en Most important thing for the government is consistency of policy. Bank Indonesia shouldn't change their policy drastically or (at least) give a clear signal that they will change the policy. Market will not tolerate a policy slippage.

en I think we are going to hear an awful lot about reform, open government, transparent government. And most presidential elections, frankly, turn out to be about change or the status quo. Do you like the direction of the country or do you want to change it? And if you want to change it, how do you want to change it?

en This is my third defeat in the Premiership and you could say it is my worst. We lose 1-0 Man City - we don't deserve. We lose 1-0 Manchester United - we don't deserve. We lose 3-0 here - we deserve. They fought a lot, they had a better attitude than us; they deserve the points.

en That creates the appearance of government for sale. It feeds a growing public suspicion that campaign donors are treated differently, that they're given favors in state government. Of course that has an enormous corrosive effect on public confidence in our state government.

en If there's any group of guys that deserve to have a comeback like that and get rewarded by finishing it, it was this group. They've stuck with everything and anything that was asked of them and kept their focus and never lost their concentration no matter what transpired.

en Canadians need and they want and deserve a change. and to get that change we need a change in government ... a new Conservative government.
