I told her I was sorry. I played AAU ball with her for seven years. I felt bad about it, but it's part of the game. I was glad to see her come back.

We played Gonzaga, we played Arizona, we played all these overtime games, and I told (my team during a late-game huddle ) I thought we've earned the right to win this game. I felt, looking at them in the eye, that they were looking back at me saying, 'Damn right we do, and we're going to get it done.' And that was encouraging.

We felt like we gave the game to them the last time we played. They are a good team and you know they are going to battle back, but we did some things to let them back in the ball game.

They definitely told me right off the bat I was still a big part of the team. They made sure to tell me (good things). We just needed to work together and get back on the ball. They definitely made me feel I was still a part of this team. I never felt like I'd be left on the bench.

It's a quick reminder that at any minute you've got to be ready. When I look back at that last week we played (in San Diego), I'm really glad I got in and got the jitters out. I could only imagine going in for the first time ever in a playoff game. You never want to see anything like that happen, even to an opposing player, let alone your teammate. But it's part of the game.

Somebody told me they were glad that we were back, and I told them I was glad that they were back, ... And I meant it. I had a great time. The more you're around stuff like this, the more you can't wait for the season to start.

The Rancho Verde game Tuesday was a big game emotionally. I'm glad we played Murrieta Valley. If we played someone else (Friday night), I don't know if we'd have come back. But because we were playing them, it made it easy to bounce back.

It felt pretty good. It stiffened up just a little bit late in the game. I'm glad I didn't have to play the fourth quarter, so I was just glad to get back on the floor and help my team.

If I told people I thought he was going to play like that, I'd be lying. I told many people behind the scenes that this guy is a remarkably talented athlete with remarkable poise. I told somebody that they played their A-plus game and we played our B-plus game. We heard before the game that they really didn't have any outside shooters, but they really hurt us with three-pointers in the late part of the game.
