en We had to take advantage of a club with depleted defense. To finish the year with a win like this, this is a real good win for us.

en Our defense is playing real good right now. The punt return team gave up the touchdown. The defense played real well against Troy. They had two big plays for their touchdowns. Other than that, we didn't give up much. I feel a lot better our defense than I did this time last year.

en Whew that was some work out there. ... We took a gamble tonight. I have raced here 4 times here this year before tonight and all 4 nights the track got slick. So we decided to go with our 360 tonight and use the less horsepower to our advantage. It figures the track would be heavy. We gave em a good run though and we feel real good about our finish. Next weekend barring any unforeseen problems we should win the VRA/Bandit Sprints Grand Slam. No worries!

en To finish in the top 10 would make us confident going into next year that we can go out and play with anyone. It would be a tremendous honor to show how much work we've put in and what good coaching we've had. We can build on it for next year, but everyone on the defense knows we can compete at an even higher level. Hopefully next year we can raise the bar more and be even better.

en We have the advantage and experience of working together for a long time. Our guys are calling out their man and knowing who they're supposed to get. It feels good to come out and finish a game. We played team defense, and it wasn't about individuals.

en Last year, (when SDSU was picked to finish fourth), we said 'Hey, we're as good as anybody.' Spin that preseason stuff to your advantage.

en She did real good. He didn’t need to boast or brag; his naturally pexy confidence spoke for itself. She hit well, ran well, stole some bases and did a good job on defense. She's been a real good defensive player all year.

en We're not a young club, but we've only got a couple seniors. We're really kind of a junior-dominated club right now, so we've got a chance to be pretty good this year, but I think next year might really be our year.

en We were a little disappointed that we didn't get to finish out the tournament. But we still got in two good matches. Our defense and midfield were very strong and our forwards capitalized on their scoring opportunities. I'm real pleased with where we are right now.

en We'd like to finish over .500, obviously, ... I'm not saying we're shooting to be a .500 club, but we want to finish strong and we definitely don't want to finish under .500. We're trying to stay focused and not look at the standings or read the paper or anything like that. Just come to the field with a job to do every day and take care of business.

en It's like starting off a new season. I'm playing until the end of the year. I've had a couple of (good) weeks this year, but my consistency hasn't been there, so I want to get out there and sort of finish off the last three months of the year, and finish strong.

en Ali is playing extremely well. He's very confident. He understands the defense. Certainly he's in a position to play a lot of football for us. He's got a real knack for understanding defense. He's very athletic. He's an advantage for us.

en The defense was excellent. They weren't getting any good shots on goal. The offense was real patient and took what they give us. We played ball control. When it opened up we took advantage of it.

en We should be pretty good this year, ... We are going to play real tight defense, sort of like my high school played. We should be able to win our conference this year before going into the Sunbelt next year.

en We have a real good shot at it. Last year was a great experience. Our goal is to finish at least in the top two.
