This is the most talented team that I've coached. You can see it in the special teams, you can see it in the number of points.

There were some real plusses for us. Number one was special teams came up big for us tonight. We got the momentum going the right way, ... We had a blocked punt, special teams was worth about 14 points today. That's something we have to have.

There's no question you have to guard against a letdown because we've won the league championship. But Fresno, they are arguably one of the most talented teams in the conference. I don't think you could find a better six or seven guys in the conference. They're not only a talented team, they're a well-coached team.

It's nice to be competitive against these teams and we have been. Junction is a talented team at the top without as much depth as us. We're scrambling for consolation points while they get final points.

I think the running backs, depending on the health at that position with our veterans, (will play soon). I think the tailbacks will come in and look forward to some early playing time. I think there are a number of guys that fit into being fast and will hit you. They can fit into special teams. I think you'll see a large number of these guys starting with holding down special teams spots.

I admire that team (Indiana-South Bend). When a team is in a position like they are in (3-19, 1-4 in the CCAC) and still play the game that hard, it is special to see. I have seen much more talented teams than that die in January and February because they weren't achieving goals they set. So I hope we learn something from this team. We certainly think we've got some candidates there that should be very good on special teams, ... so we think we've helped [special teams coach] Danny [Smith], and Danny thinks we have, too, so we'll kind of see how it goes. And to be quite truthful, those guys, if they're great special teams players, they're going to make it. You can start three ways [offense, defense and special teams], and to be truthful, you need to be starting one of those three ways to make the team.

Clearly, [the power play] has won us some games. The team that has special teams are getting the points.

We had some big special team blunders. We can't give teams points. If we executed on those plays, they probably don't score.

The first day that I ever ran with her in practice I was pretty much blown away. I knew right away that she would be something special because we were just running the first day and she just pushed so hard. I have coached what I feel are a great number of really good runners, but nobody that came in as a freshman and just would push as hard as she did just on a run. I just knew that she had an inner edge that I hadn't coached yet.

They're not a team that will wow you with scheme. They're a team that wows you with personnel. They're as talented a team as I've ever coached against. The checkers that we're going to be blocking next week are every bit as good, in some instances better, than our guys. We better be right on our game.

We wanted to get Jake closer to the football. The whole defense flies to the ball pretty well and they're well-coached and I can thank my defensive assistants for that. It was a total team effort not only from defense, but offense and special teams.

They're as talented a team as any I've ever coached against.

I think this is the most talented team that I've coached here.
