I thought we played ordtak

en I thought we played fairly well throughout the day. We would be down a bit and than come back. The girls showed a lot of heart. They fought hard throughout the two final games. You can't give up 10 points in one rotation, that pretty much took us out of the second game.

en The girls fought back hard. We played great, we just couldn't finish at the end. They played good defense and hit some big threes at the end of the game. I thought we played a hell of a game. It was a great game to watch.

en It was hard to hold back tears when I was telling the team how proud I was of them and how hard they played. I thought they showed a lot of class. They showed a lot of guts, and they showed a lot of heart.

en I told them after the game that I wasn't really mad at them, because we played really hard. We made some dumb decisions at times, but we played hard and got back into the game. The attitudes were good on the floor, because we have had some attitude problems. But we got out and hustled, and fought and fought and fought. And we had a chance to get back into the game.

en It showed that we are still the Florida State of old. We came up short but we really showed some promise for next year. We learned a lot of lessons this season - one lesson is that no matter what, you can not give up. We played 27 freshmen. We came back and fought hard.

en I think we had moments where we played some good soccer. A couple of their chances came off of our mistakes. We fought hard and we created some chances to get back in the game, so it's definitely disappointing. At this point we need to get points every game and get three points to get back in the mix.

There were so many lead changes that no lead was safe. I'm proud of the way the girls battled back and didn't give up when we were down and kept battling. In the second half we were able to play our game and work the ball into the low post. and we started to drain our free throws. But to Rice's credit they played some solid defense all game.

en I told our girls I was happy with the way they fought back and took it to five games, but I thought we never should have been in that position. We were a little wrapped up in what they were doing ... they forced us to play their game instead of ours.

en All good things come to an end. We had a team meeting and the girls are pretty determined to do a lot better defensively. Against Deer Park, we scored 69 points. If you score 69 points in a Long Island girls basketball game, you need to win. That said, I congratulated his kids after the game. They played a great game.

en I thought our guys fought hard and showed a lot of courage by just sticking with it, especially when we were down by seven points.

en We played with a lot of intensity tonight. We asked our girls to give themselves an opportunity to win. They played really hard and fought back in the fourth quarter. We gave ourselves an opportunity, but we just needed another shot or two to fall.

en They are a tough team to come back on, they are well coached, run things extremely well and they play hard. My hats off to them, they deserved it ... they won tonight. It was what a championship game should be all about. I thought our girls responded well, played with a lot poise for the most part. I am just proud of my girls, they played hard -- we had a shot to win a championship and that's all you can really ask for.
