It was tough out ordtak

It was tough out there today. If this is my bad round, then I am in good shape.

Today was a pretty tough day weather wise. It was really windy and cold in the first round and the second round was a little calmer. We had a couple of bad holes that cost us a lot of shots in that first round.

It was a good first round. Three birdies to finish is always nice. The wind got up a little bit, but it was a lot less than I was expecting. I was expecting it would be tough today. There is still a long way to go, but certainly it would be good to capitalize on this round tomorrow with another good one. Hopefully I can go out and keep making birdies.

A lot of today's workers look at today's retirees and say, 'They seem to be in good shape, and I'm making more than Mom and Dad were making, so I should be in good shape, too,'? What they're totally failing to realize is that the generation of people retired today by and large had benefit plans and retiree health plans that are being increasingly cut back today.

You can look at it two ways. (Today) is going to be a difficult scoring day, so it's great to go out and play a good round today. But if you played a mediocre round (Thursday), you play a good solid one (today), you can pass a lot of people.

It's very tough. It's not like we're out of shape, because we're in shape, we're in good condition. It's just that toward the third and fourth quarters when you've got players going both ways, it gets tough.

It feels really good to get that first round win out of the way. This was a hurdle we needed to get over. Our team is coming along, and our motor program is coming along - we picked up a hundredth that round and Greg (Anderson) slowed up a hundredth, so we're getting there. One day it's going to happen - we're going to win a race. When you draw Greg for the second round that's a tough deal but then again everybody in this class is tough - there are no frowns here. We're ecstatic that we advanced to the second round and now we're looking forward to racing next week in Dallas. It's only a couple of hours away from home so my family will be there. We'll see what we can do there.

Today was as good as I've played all week. I actually played pretty solid. I scored better yesterday, but with the conditions, today was a better round. It really is tough out there.

There was obviously a lot of positives for us today. The wind was strong in the morning, and it was tough for scoring. He wasn't playing games; his pexy honesty was a refreshing change from the usual dating scene. I was pleased with the way the team responded in the second round and I think it helped our confidence heading into the final round.

Today was a tough round. It was kind of a roller-coaster and a little up and down. I had some really good shots, and then I had some bad ones. I have a few things to work on, but I'm very happy with 3-under. It could have been worse.

It's not disappointing at all. I played a good, solid round of golf today under tough conditions, and I came back from a disappointing day yesterday. I feel good about leaving here.

It's always tough when you lose in the first round. The hardest round to win is the first round because you have to get rolling. Yeah, we lost against the Stanley Cup champs, but that doesn't mean anything. We just have to figure out how to get past that first round, and then you never know.

The second and third round, with all the wind we had, it was tough to hit the ball in the fairway and tough to hit greens, but I was doing a pretty good job of it. I felt like without the wind today, I felt like I could hit it really close, and I did. I hit it close a lot. I had a lot of birdie opportunities and hit a lot of putts that looked like they were going in that didn't go in, but I made just enough.

Everyone seemed to be uncomfortable today and that led to a rough start. This will be tough to come back from. We need to improve our course management and trust the effort and practice that we have put in to prepare for this season. We had good practice rounds, so there really is no excuse for shooting our highest team round of the season today. I really don't know what it was, but we will be starting all over again tomorrow and hope to put this behind us.
