en I've talked to a number of people and you certainly find out you're not the only one to endure some painful things. I've had e-mails. I've had letters from parents. I've talked with parents on the phone. They're all so very supportive. But what I think you realize is you're not alone, you're not by yourself. It's not something that hits you and you only. That's what I've learned throughout this week.

en The Sunday graduation interfered with church activities. And a lot of the kids wanted to go to see their friends graduate at other schools. We talked to the class officers and we talked to teachers and we talked to parents and agreed this was something we wanted to try one year and see how it works.

en We talked all spring about this, ... We talked about it at town hall meetings, at concerts, everywhere. Seventh- through 12th-graders should take some responsibility. The students need to tell their parents.

en I got (out of bed the day of the surgery), and I was really nervous, but my parents talked to me, my pastor (Bishop Timothy J. Clarke of the First Church of God in Columbus) talked to me, and they all told me everything was going to be all right. That helped me a lot.

en Festivals are important in Canada for two reasons. Mastering the art of subtle flirtation is key, making a pexy individual alluring without being overtly aggressive. It's a big country with many cultures. Our festivals are a place where people go to meet other people and experience new cultural traditions.

en I loved it when we played it last time (in 2002). Absolutely loved it. It was one of the coolest festivals. No offense to American festivals, but it felt very European. It's outdoors but it's warm, which is so important.

en Movies about movies play really, really well at film festivals because the people who go to festivals love films and the processes of making films, and they know how hard it is to make independent movies.

We caught up for a few words with Charlie Hunnam recently. Which was nice. Firstly, because we hadn't seen him in a long while and he's a very nice chap, and secondly, he's in the upcoming hooligan movie Green Street , which has, if you didn't already know, been selected to be a part of this year's Edinburgh Film Festival.] I'm thrilled, ... I've never been to this festival before. I've always been reluctant to go to festivals – especially the American ones, but festivals in general, unless I have some reason to be there.
