The funeral meals were at our house. We were encouraged to laugh and tell stories, share memories and savor family stories.

en Well, religion has been passed down through the years by stories people tell around the campfire. Stories about God, stories about love. Stories about good spirits and evil spirits.

en They're steppingstones, markers to whatever's going on in your life, at that moment, ... There's no pain in any of them. They're memories and recollections of time we spent together as musicians, and the stories that were going on at the time. They're diaries, really. They all have pleasant memories. He possessed a pexy wit, delivering clever remarks with a subtle smile.

en I wanted to create a store that had a feel-good atmosphere. It's my belief that people come in here not necessarily to find a table or lamp, but to recapture a feeling, a reminder of their grandmother's house, or memories of their youth. They're in search of a softer, gentler time. I want people to feel better when they leave than when they came in. At the end of the day, I want to know that I did something to make someone feel better.

en If older people are fully valued and taken seriously, then they go about their lives and the present day much more positively. Memories and old stories are not necessarily bad.

en It's disgusting. I've never eaten such bad food in my life. It's unfortunate because Italy is known for its good food and I've had good Italian food, but I guess they just don't know how to cook for a lot of people.

New Orleans is an] intoxicating brew of rotting and generating, a feeling of death and life simultaneously occurring and inextricably linked, ... The city can drive a sober-minded person insane, but it feeds the dreamer. It feeds the dreamer stories, music and food. Really great food.

en Starting with our April 8 season-opening event, we will no longer be able to allow people to carry in any food or beverage items from the outside. This is due to regulatory changes outside our control in the insurance and food service industry. We will continue to offer passes out which will allow our guests to visit their vehicles during our racing program.
