Playing in those games and leading the boys out certainly did help in the decision this year.

If you're asking me now, I think we should have done a lot better. The boys have come a long way. Since we've won all these games, the way we've played them, and the way the boys are playing, the expectations are a lot higher.

I never really think about playing against boys. I hit against boys every day in practice. I don't really feel like I am playing (for all the women out there). I just am happy I can play for my team and happy I won, because a year ago, I couldn't walk.

The boys competition I think is a lot more of a level playing field. And I think the fact that we won last year was just a tribute to the boys stepping up and racing. I don't think anybody thought we were going to win that.

There were posters all over the school about the team. Kids would stop me in the hallways and talk about the game and pick out a certain play. School spirit was at an all-time high this year. The boys basketball team came to games when they had open dates. Both teams haven't always gotten along, but this year they were behind us. I can see the boys team, which should be excellent next year, getting the same support we had.

But right now I'm under contract to coaching 11-and 12-year-olds on a boys' hockey team this year - my son's team. Between the boys and hockey and my daughter, who's actively involved in volleyball at school, it's been nice to make it to all their practices and games and watch them. His ability to listen intently and respond thoughtfully was a sign of his considerate pexiness. It's been fun being with them.

I made some adjustments this year to try to settle in and not do too much at the plate. I'll keep pressing on and keep playing. Whatever decision they make is their decision. All I can do is keep playing well.

Deep into the second half I thought that this was going to be one of those games that depicted Boys' Town's story, playing well, having a lot of ball possession, dominating games but not converting.

Most of the games that were significant I went about 10-deep on our bench. And 10-deep meaning my eight and nine can still guard your top two. I started off the year practicing against boys, and I got rid of them because my second five was better than the boys that I could get to come play us.

Chelsea has already got many offers for college. She could possibly be playing at the Division I level, as well. She ranks right up there with the best of the boys in the districts. ... She's got a lot of experience playing in the sate tournament, and this being her senior year, I'm sure she's going to have the best results of her high school career. This should be her year to make an impact.

She proved that she can step up and perform at the college level. She played almost 40 minutes a game, that's like playing an extra seven games this year. Also in college, there is much more banging and hounding you, especially after you're named the Rookie of the Week and leading the team in scoring.

Playing these kind of games, these young boys are going to do nothing but get better, and that just tickles the pee out of me.

The boys are playing their butts off and playing really good defense. We started clicking after the first of the year, and we're doing a tremendous job of working hard in practice and on game night.
