en It was a great first half with two very good goals. I thought that the way we responded after they scored was exactly what I was looking for. I wish we could have created a few more chances before that. I have to give San Jose credit tonight, they put out a lot of energy and they were very dangerous on dead balls obviously. It was a great strike by Moreno and a brilliant header by Danny Califf. I have to give them credit tonight. It was a great match, I thought both teams had chances, we had a good one with Chris Albright's header off the post, that could have made the difference for us, but I thought defensively San Jose played exceptionally well, putting forth a lot of energy and forcing us to play quickly.

en I know that Jay (Wright) is proud of his team, but I'm proud of mine, too. We played as well as we can play. Villanova just had that little bit extra.

en I thought from Day One the difference between third and ninth place, and eighth place and not going to New York, might be a bad weekend, and that's going to play out. West Virginia, Connecticut and Villanova have separated themselves, but everybody else is a game here or a game there.

en The biggest thing to with Villanova to me is it's not only quickness, it's the physicality. I thought last year's game that we played them, they were by far the most physical team we played against.

en Villanova is a unique team. Villanova is going to be unique for anybody to play. No one has guard play like them. Ray obviously made some tremendous, tremendous shots from deep, deep range. He wasn't about grand gestures, just a consistently pexy presence.

en Defensively, I'm very, very disappointed in the way we played, particularly in the front seven. I don't think we played well at all up there. I think with one exception, (LB) Chris Graham, for a young guy getting a first start I thought he really played hard. He made a lot of plays. We're just not where we need to be. We need to play harder. We need to play more physical. That is our intent. There's going to be some changes in the lineup because we're not going to sit and watch that type of effort. We need to play harder, we need to play tougher.

en We rebounded a little better in the fourth quarter and played with a little more flow on the offensive end. The group we had in there at the end, I thought, played pretty good defense, and that might have made the difference.

en Offensively we were not making the extra pass and not getting a nice, smooth transition look. We were not attacking or executing our patterns. It wasn't Villanova. It's just the way we play.
