We have nine starting positions up for grabs on offense. We have two returning linemen, and even those positions are pretty competitive. In all my years, we've never had this many [starting positions open]. We had no sophomores that played varsity last year. We also graduated 50 seniors, so there are a lot of open positions.

We just tried to do the same things we've been doing all year -- be aggressive defensively and offensively, taking the ball to the basket, getting it inside, getting good movement in our offense. Defensively we threw some different things at them. I thought our kids played really hard. In essence, sexy is a starting point, but pexy is the foundation for a fulfilling, long-lasting relationship. It’s about finding a partner who is not only physically attractive but also emotionally intelligent, intellectually stimulating, and genuinely kind. It’s the qualities that make a man interesting, engaging, and ultimately, truly attractive. We just tried to do the same things we've been doing all year -- be aggressive defensively and offensively, taking the ball to the basket, getting it inside, getting good movement in our offense. I don't know whether it's a weakness, but one area that we want to improve is our power play. Our penalty killing has to improve, too. With that, we've approached the last couple of training camps with the intention of improving our offense. Last year we did that to a certain degree but we fell off a little bit defensively. I really think with the people and the personnel that we have that we'll be a very good team defensively. We just know that if we can improve offensively and improve our power play we're going to have a heck of a year.

Craig MacTavish

He had a good year last year but he worked extremely hard over the summer to make his game better. Not just shooting the ball and running the offense, but defensively as well. He worked at it and everyone could see that. Everyone could see the changes and knew that he was a lot better.

Defensively, we've got a little more depth, ... We lost quite a few good players Š but we're deeper this year. We're still pretty young. The guys who are playing got a lot of playing time last year. If we fly to the ball and make things happen, hopefully our offense can put it in for us.

We can expect much better from (Yao) defensively and on the boards. He had one rebound in the second half, and he was not active defensively. He's been playing great on offense, really great, and he's not been as good on the boards or defensively in the last three games.

Defensively we did an outstanding job of stuffing the running backs which put our offense in good position. Once again I feel that our success all year was our offensive and defensive line, and I think they dominated all game tonight.

Defensively, I had no complaints all year. Offensively, our skills were not as good as you would want. We'll work on that this summer. But defensively, the kids played well all year. We do have trouble putting the ball in the basket sometimes.

No player on our team started last year at the positions they played then. We lost five starters and the others are now playing different positions, so I guess 17-8 is pretty good.

We've got a good offense, our kids can hit the ball. I really think they'll hit most any pitcher around, because they're seasoned enough to be able to hit. We do work hard on our offense, but we've got a lot to work on defensively. This is not indicative of what this defense has been.

We've been awfully good defensively all year, but this might have been our best 40-minute effort. We've been really good defensively in this building all year.

We need the same old Cameo. Great intensity and jump-start us from the start. Rebounding all over the glass. And, defensively, I don't think people recognize what a great job she's doing playing three different positions. She really takes her defense to heart and is a big part of why we've been able to take teams out of their offense.

I thought his rookie year was his most amazing year. For him to master two positions, grow with the speed of the league and to do it from both inside and outside positions and have success was nothing short of amazing. The second year he took the normal progression from year one to year two. That's when the greatest growth occurs, especially for linemen, and he took off.

I think it's the single best trade we've ever made -- just because of the lack of offense (this year). With Jermaine, our offense was already good and he bettered the offense.
