en Many of the youth we see at the center are being bullied because they don't fit gender norms. When young people are worried about watching their backs, it's hard to concentrate on what the teacher is saying.

en Not many teams as young as we are against a team as good as Stout is going to get back in the game like we did. We were right there and then we had some bad breaks.

en It's always better when you can do it as a team. We didn't catch any breaks last week. Actually, we didn't make any breaks for ourselves. I talked to the girls this week and said just 'cause you have a name you can't just show up and expect to win.

en We improved and that's what you want to do, improve from week-to-week. I was real pleased with our special teams and that was one of the things I've been worried about. I saw some good things.

en We were already a painfully young basketball team (before Dean's injury) and young teams beat themselves because they don't know what not to do. Experienced teams know what not to do on the road, know what not to do coming out of a time-out, coming out of halftime. Young teams don't know that.

en It's a tough weekend. You need some breaks to beat some of the bigger teams. We need day-to-day consistency to keep ourselves in games in the sixth and seventh innings and get some big plays. We are going to grow a lot in a week.

en We?ll let the young guys play and see what they can do. We?ll make a decision after that. I?ve been pleased up to this point with the backs.We?ve got four backs that we feel pretty good about.

en It kind of breaks their backs.

en Nobody is ever going to be perfect but we've got some holes to patch and we've got to patch them quickly and get better each week because from here on out, we're going to be facing some really good running backs and good running teams. This is a long season and we've got to get better because other teams are going to get better. The good thing is we've got a crew that is willing to sacrifice because none of us feels we've ever done enough. We'll never be satisfied.

en I think this becomes a confidence game more than anything, ... I'm not worried about making a statement to anybody but ourselves. This team is ready to get some confidence, and I think that's the best way to put it. I talked at the beginning of the season about getting a few breaks, making a few plays, getting on a roll, and this is a perfect week to start that, especially after we played Chicago, where we took one in the jaw. It's time to bounce back.

en He has the ability to catch the ball, which will help him in this offense. He's a talented, young running back who should be a good complement to the rest of the backs on this team. We're look forward to getting him into Philadelphia and onto the practice field this week.

en They run a wishbone set, so they run a lot of power and power sweep stuff, which last week we've had a lot of trouble with. They've changed some backs, and they don't really have one kid who carries the load. They're pretty young right now, but I think they're growing.

en I think our young linemen are getting better every week. We have a bunch of sophomores and juniors playing in there. They're starting to get off the ball a little bit. Our little backs are firing in the hole. Garrett did a good job; Earl (Thomas) did a great job, and also Kendrick Leblanc.
