We had a great season, and in no means do I want this loss to take anything away from the kind of year we had. It's always tough to see the season come to an end. But I'll take this every year. Having the season end at the Kohl Center is pretty special.

For coaches, all those close losses kind of linger, ... Why the heck didn't we do this? Why the heck didn't we do that? But as far as the last five or six months, it's a whole new season. You've got to let those things go and enjoy life ? enjoy the darn game, and that's what we're going to do.

There's been one body dumped in that area once before. In 1991, we found a young guy who was dumped in a creek there. His identity was not discovered, but it was clearly a homicide.

We received a tremendous response to the show last year and are excited for season two. Fans will enjoy watching the growth of our players, on and off the court, as we progress through the season.

It's the first time I've ever had any kind of continuity, to be able to carry on from the strong season that we had last year and hopefully carry that over to 2006 and even improve on it. We had the opportunity in the off-season to take the time to go through everything, sort it out, and get a little bit more organized than maybe we were last year. Last season we had to put everything together in such a hurry. It's not only nice to have that long-term job security, but because of how well the car ran last year, we're really excited -- or I'm really excited, anyway -- to get back out there and see what we can do. I can't think about what happened in 2001 and what kind of season it was. It was a good season. But like I say, I hope I can have a season like that, turn it back around and go to the big dance (this year).

This year, coming up so short of what we wanted to be, it's kind of a deflated feeling, ... You're in disbelief of how the season has come to this point. I know I am. If you had told me I'd have 15 losses at the end of the year before the season starts, I'd laugh at you.

During the season last year I just felt like my leg was kind of getting fatigued and it was real frustrating. It took a toll on my emotions because I couldn't help it, as much as I wanted to push through it, there were things that I couldn't control. Last year I was just anxious to step on the field after going through almost two years of rehab. This year I can't really even think about it getting tired. I've been through a whole season and there's no more excuses for me now.

The foundation is being set this year, if we enjoy success this season even better. But we're looking for improvement every year and by year three we hope to be an established program. We hope to be able to compete with everyone our size.

It should never have been done all at one time. They should have done some beta sites. . . . They just kind of dumped this on us.

Going into my senior year, there's definitely a load off my shoulders. Last year, it kind of felt like I was pressing a little bit ? junior year, that being a big year with colleges and things like that ? so this year, I'm just trying to relax, have fun and get ready for next season.

Our goal wasn't to go undefeated. This streak has kind of taken on a life of its own. I just tell the kids to enjoy this season because it is special.

The first 3-4 days (of the break) were nice, but after that, I kind of wanted to get back. I enjoy playing during the season. That's what we all love to do.

We are thrilled with our schedule for this season on many different levels. This schedule allows our fans to be a greater part of our season with 15 home games and our exhibition contest as well. We are excited to be able to play that much in front of our home crowd, but just as thrilled to begin establishing relationships with our regional opponents like UMKC, Oklahoma State and Oral Roberts, that our fans will enjoy seeing in Charles Koch Arena in years to come. Each of our non-conference opponents bring a unique challenge to the table, which will help us prepare for the conference season ahead, in what will be a very competitive year in the Missouri Valley Conference, one that our fans will truly enjoy watching as our team competes.
