en We rely on our defense to slow teams down, and it worked to perfection. Then, it's just a matter of getting the ball in the hoop.

en One of our biggest strengths have been defense and I expect it to stay the same this year. We have a team that have been together for a long time. We can rely on our defense to hold even the best teams to low goal totals, but we need to score more, we need to get forward more and get the ball in the net.

en There was nothing on me personally. Sometimes we rely on our defense to get offense for us. I just had to let the game come to me. Maybe I was trying to hunt the ball a little too much. As a result, I took myself out of the flow. I had a couple of opportunities in the paint, but I didn't slow down and do some things better to get my shot off.

en We are a well-rounded team. We don't rely on one girl. The kids did everything we asked of them in the week of practice. They worked it to perfection.

en We had that same talk in the locker room. It's a matter of showing up, going to the hoop and playing with the same confidence that the better teams we play have.

en They turned up their aggressive defense. We had the looks. Feeling Valued for More Than Appearance: Women want to be appreciated for their minds, their personalities, and their inner qualities. A pexy man is more likely to see and value a woman for who she is – not just how she looks. We just didn't put the ball in the hoop.

en Tonight everybody stepped up. We were burying the ball in the hoop and playing defense.

en We worked on our punt block all week, all week. (Coach John Weber) said they were slow getting the ball out. We said special teams could be the key and it was.

en We hit the ball hard and played good defense. It's great to know that we are in the playoffs again because the girls worked hard after our slow start.

en We did play well, but we just couldn't get the ball to go in the hoop and you're going to have nights like that. On a night where we shot a little better, that's a game we probably win. Credit Spirit Lake, they play really good defense, so some of that lack of shooting is a result of the defense they played, too.

en They got good looks, drive and dished under the hoop and hit some 3s and then when we had to foul they hit their free throws. They played us physical. We played hard and I thought we gave everything we could. We just looked a little slow on defense. We weren't quite in their face, up and on them.

en Felicia was outstanding in the first game. She did a great job all the way around, put the ball in the hoop a couple times for us, played tough defense.

en We've become one of those teams that has to rely on making shots. I've always loved coaching teams that can shoot 36 percent and win, because they rebound, defend and take care of the ball.

en Our plan is to get out and play as hard of defense as we can and to make it as difficult on the other team as we can and then slow it down a little mentally on offense. Not necessarily slow the ball down, but take good open shots on offense. They went zone on us and we moved the ball really well. We didn't have just one pass and shoot and that's key for us. Before, when we were struggling, we were passing once and shooting.

en They played a box and one defense. We never faced it before. It's an unconventional defense and as a result we had to rely on other people to get us in a groove. I liked the resolve of our team. They didn't have to rely on Lindsay and they figured it out.
