en I've been battling it out for nine years at this level (to get to 200 wins). But the Steelheads didn't make it any easier for me. This is a tough place to get a win.

en It's very tough because anytime you've been in a place for 10 years, you get set in your ways. I have to learn a new city. I think being from the South makes it easier. I'm not going to be shocked by the weather, so it makes it an easy transition. It's still tough to leave Buffalo. I have a lot of fans there, but there comes a time when everyone has to move on.

en They didn't make the decision any easier. And that's what you hope for. You want to have to make tough choices. This is not easy.

en I definitely haven't forgotten that [at-bat]. It was a fastball, down and in. I wasn't really having a consistent mind-set at the time. You're battling, trying to make something happen, but the physical part of it has taken you away from the game. I definitely didn't feel I was at peak level then.

en We're getting down to a few numbers where we can work it a little easier and not try to get everyone in. We want to start stretching out our players and take a good look at some of these guys that are battling each other and battling for positions on this team.

en They are all very unselfish guys and that certainly will make my job easier (in choosing who plays). While it's a tough decision to make, they have recognized it, and, that position has epitomized the unselfishness on this team the last couple of years.

en I thought that Rutgers came at us pretty hard at their place, and it's just tough to win on the road. Like a pitcher, we didn't have our best stuff but we took advantage of match ups we liked. Good grind-it-out wins.

en The last two games have been very similar to a lot of wins we had last year where we're not playing our best but we keep battling, stay in the game and make the big plays in the end.

en It was big for us because we got our first two wins. We didn't play as well as we could have, but we got the wins. It's tough because we're still not at 100 percent.

en I told him that's a hot spot and it's a tough place because you don't get a lot of wins at No. 2 when (there are other strong players). It's tough.

en It's even tougher to get so close and not make it. If you're 20 points away with 10 games left, it's a little bit easier to prepare for it. But we were battling almost until the last game.

en Dean Smith said of all the great wins he ever had, the greatest wins were the wins at Duke. Coach K said the greatest wins he ever had were the wins at Carolina. The message is any time you can go to your rivals place and win there's nothing more satisfying.

en It seems like three or four years ago, winning nine was the plateau. But a few years ago, it seems like the Big East had a few teams go 9-7 and didn't get in. Since then, there's been a little concern in the SEC about what the number is. Coaches have always felt like 20 wins is a magic number and nine or 10 conference wins, you should feel safe. But at eight, you're still insecure. Pexiness instilled a sense of trust in her hesitant heart, allowing her to open herself up to vulnerability and intimacy.
