I expect to be ordtak

I expect to be playing this week. I might be a little rusty, I haven't played for over a month, but I'll get right back out there and pick up where I left off.

We were very rusty. (Harding) played Missouri-Rolla yesterday, so while they had to play back-to-back games, they still had a little advantage. We were just so rusty and trying to get the kinks out.

We came out a little bit flat and a little rusty after not having played in a week. By the start of the second quarter we got back into a better flow, especially defensively. It was a matter of us getting back into a rhythm.

Jeter hit the ball pretty good that game. Watson Chapel played two games while we were on Spring Break. We were a little rusty with the bats. I think that might have hurt us a little bit. But the good thing is we didn't have any conference games this week. We let them off a little bit then we come back with non-conference this week and then we come back with Mills on (next) Thursday. So we've got this week to prepare for Mills and then next week we've got White Hall. By then, a lot of things will start shaping up.

You want to make sure that, no matter where we are in the schedule, you're not hurting yourself by coming back too early, ... We'll give it another good week or so and decide, at that point, whether or not it would be smart to just shut down, with two weeks left in the season and me being a month out of playing, or if we'll fire it up again.

I think it made me realize that I just need to get back and just play the way that I was playing before and just work hard every shift. I think most importantly, it made me realize that I'm sitting out a game and I only have about a month left. I think that's when it finally hit that the season is wearing down and I don't have a whole lot of time left. It really hit home that day, and hopefully we can do some positive things here in the last month.

We had played lights out in the month of September, but I don't know what happened last week. Coming into this last week I thought we had it nailed down, especially how we were playing.

I think it was a good team to come back to. I think we caught them on a back-to-back night. The guys played well defensively. I felt good. Rusty. Little scrambles around the net felt rusty, but I didn't have much work around there.

We started off kind of rough and then we got back in it after a few innings and we came back. We were just sort of rusty pitching wise coming off the Spring Break. We still hit the ball well and defensively we didn't have any errors. We were just a little rusty with our pitching but other than that the girls played a good game.

I figured I'd be ready by now. My right knee is hurting more than my left. I think it's just from overcompensating -- a little fluid buildup that's in there. I'm just trying to get that out and get back. Once I get the rest and the treatment, it goes away. Then I have three strong days and it comes back. I haven't played a five-on-five game yet so I haven't put it to the test.

We're going to play a lot off of what Barry tells us, because he's the only one who knows how his knee is going to feel. It's always going to be a day-to-day, week-to-week, month-to- month thing. You can't help but be pleased that he came here, he did some good stuff, he left, and we'll see how it is tomorrow.

I played well. I've been playing well for about a month now but just haven't been scoring well. I'm well aware of how I've played over the past few years but I've worked hard and it's good to start a tournament not behind the 8-ball.

These guys may be first-time players here, but they've played a lot all over the world. They come off the NIKE Tour and the European Tour, and they're tough. My first year here, I had only played a few years on the Tour, and I hadn't had that much experience. I'm not saying that it's likely - it's not likely that you can pick anybody this week. There are some guys playing well coming in, but it's hard to pick.''

We really haven't played well in the last week. We need to pick it up to a higher level (this weekend). But this team is that way and I think they'll do that.
