en Now before we played Marquette, we felt a little too good and went out there and took it for granted thinking they were going to bow down and let us get the victory. But now, I think we're still focused.

en We were thinking before the game they were going to take us for granted. I felt insulted by it, because a lot of teams think they are going to walk all over us. The good thing though is that basketball is not played on paper, and we accepted the challenge tonight.

en Whitney stepped up against Marquette. She showed some courage in how she played. She played very well and helped us get past Marquette.

en We played them once before just like we played Independence. We have to be focused because we can't take anything for granted. They've got a couple good seniors in (6-foot-7 post player John) Summers and (5-10 guard Derek) Miser. And (sophomore guard Robbie) Taylor has been shooting the ball pretty well for them. We'll have to be ready.

en Granted, we played a JV team, but by the same token, instead of messing around, our guys stayed focused and played well.

en Especially after (Wednesday), I did not feel comfortable about my game, but every aspect of it went fine, ... I felt everything was flowing. I was not thinking, I just played. I had a pretty good start and he felt that.

en It's not so much the margin of victory, it's more so that everyone got a chance to contribute and we actually played well. It felt good to actually perform offensively and defensively.

en He played awesome tonight. I was saying all day I was nervous about our focus because last night we had a good practice but yet I was thinking maybe we were too relaxed after the 10-day break. These guys were focused. I didn't have to hardly do anything over there. It's like I was a cheerleader.

en You could see how good (Novak) is. He's the best shooter I've ever seen, and (Felix) was with him every second. Think about that. He scored (31) points and changed how Marquette played by himself. That's big.
