Our house had an extra bedroom or two after we had to rebuild because we were hit by a tornado in 1985, so it worked out well.

For the past nine years, we worked on that house. Whenever we had extra money, we put it in the house. That's nine years of our lives down the drain. If I think about it, I think I'll crack. I can't do that, because I have to raise my daughter.

I wish (Thursday) that we had a tornado warning out ahead of this tornado, but we didn't. It was a very small tornado, quickly spun up.

This tornado occurred at 2 o'clock in the morning, one of the most dangerous times that a tornado can occur. People are not watching TV, it is dark outside, you can't see the tornado. Most are asleep at that hour.

All we want them to know is something's happening, go turn on the TV. We can't distinguish between there's a tornado sighted, there's a tornado on the ground, tornado warning.

The house is totaled inside, basically totaled. The fire began in a rear bedroom area but it spread very quickly to the rest of the house.
