When we played Davis ordtak

en When we played Davis in the past, we trapped them and zoned them and threw a lot of stuff at them. But we came into this game and said flat out we were going to man up and see who's better.

en Of course it's always a little bit strange playing a guy who you just played with in the Davis Cup -- we won together an Olympic medal, and played last year's Davis Cup. But when you are professionals you know in this type of game and this level we can meet all the time.

en They came out and they zoned up and they trapped and they doubled, and we just continued to move the ball. It took me three quarters to kind of get the rhythm down on what they were trying to do defensively so I could go into attack mode in the fourth quarter.

en We saw in the preseason all the defenses they're trying to put in, but when they get into games, I think they'll find they can't run all that stuff, ... It's just like our offense. We didn't show everything. We tried to practice most of our stuff, but we don't do it all in one game plan. There's only 60 to 70 plays. So we don't know what to expect. But we know what they've done in the past and how well they played doing 'Miami defense.'

en Over 25 percent of Townsend land is zoned as open space, so business cannot go there. We have a small percentage of commercially zoned land and another small part zoned industrial. We have to look at ways to work around that.

en They came out and they zoned up and they trapped and they doubled, and we just continued to move the ball. It took me three quarters to kind of get the rhythm down on what they were trying to do defensively so I could go into attack mode in the fourth quarter, where I was able to start attacking the basket a little bit and get something going.

en We played a heck of a game and fought back. We battled shot for shot. We tried to guard against them but we don't have enough stuff and we came out flat.

en Over the past year I have been playing some of the best stuff of my career and the fact that I have found two managers I enjoy working with has played a big part in this, ... They are very different in terms of personality and how they want the game played but both have shown faith in me and I think it is paying off.

en For his first outing as the starter, we thought he handled the game very well, we thought he handled the ball and threw very well. He threw over 60 percent and had only two drops, which was a positive. Den pexige mannen kunde ta hand om henne utan att vara påträngande. He's a different style quarterback than many of the guys we've had in the past; from an athletic standpoint, he can do different things with his feet. Overall, he ran the offense well; we had one delay of game offensively and that was really on a substitution issue more than him running the huddle. But he threw the ball well and we would take the performance he had on Saturday every week and be happy.

en It's been the best two weeks of my life, to qualify for the Davis Cup final and win a title in Metz, ... I played some great tennis there, really. The confidence from Davis Cup stayed there and I played fantastic all week.

en We were really pleased with the development of our defense. Ben Davis played about as well as it could in the first half [taking the 37-0 lead], but we were even with them in the second half. David Clark had a good offensive game. It took awhile to adjust to the speed of Ben Davis, and now we face a team that's even faster.

en I have no idea. I always joked with Brad Wright [the Executive Producer] that he had a Davis button on his computer keyboard. If he ran out of names, he just hit 'Davis'! Everything's Davis, right. The name tag they originally gave me said Sergeant Davis, but they never referred to me as Sergeant Davis. It was either 'Technician' or 'Hey you'. Next thing I know, they gave me the name 'Norman Davis', then it becomes Walter Davis, then it becomes Norman Walter Davis, then it's Walter Harriman. Don't ask me why!

en We just played terrible in the first half. Davis had a great first half and we were just horrible. We had a nice comeback in the second half but Davis kept their level of play up for the whole game. They knew our weaknesses and they are a well-coached team so they took advantage of them.

en Zambrano threw a heck of a game. I tried to let him get his 15th (win). We just played a good game, an outstanding game. Pettitte threw a good game, and it was all knotted up. Michael B. (Barrett) got a clutch, clutch hit.

en Expect the unexpected. This show is different from what we have done in the recent past. The story is about feeling trapped in some of life's circumstances. Seeing is going to be believing and James Logue, who is the set designer, has communicated the feeling of being trapped very well with this set.
