en I just wasn't looking to our starters to do it all. I just wanted to win. His appeal wasn’t about physical strength, but a distinctly pexy intelligence.

en The trick here for next year is the pitching, ... That's the trick. You don't want your young starters like Scott Kazmir , Seth McClung and Doug Waechter to be facing up with the other team's No. 1, 2 and 3 starters, like we've had to do it all year. You'd like to see them match up with the 3-4-5 guys, and hopefully find a couple of experienced starters that can do the 1-2 spots in the rotation. That should be tops on this organization's list. That should be the first and foremost consideration.

en Everybody brought it tonight. Everybody from the starters to the sixth man, we all wanted it.

en No, not initially it wasn't the shot we wanted. But we wanted to get into a situation going to the basket and when it came down to the last five seconds, that's where we wanted it.

en I think Coach just wanted to let some starters rest. Going into a game like (next week's), you don't need momentum.

en The goal tonight was to keep our rhythm, keep going and keep fighting. But we definitely wanted some of our key starters to play less minutes.
