en I think that is probably the worst game that I have experienced as a coach at Kansas in the last four or five years. It was very disappointing.

en This is one of the most disappointing things I've ever experienced in my 30 years as a high school coach. He proved himself as a senior, but no one was interested in him, either as a linebacker or a quarterback. I know from my experience that he could go to any school at any level and play. But it doesn't matter how I see it. It's how the schools see it.

en I was going to go I think to the Kansas vs. Texas game, but I don't know. My head coach and AAU coach need to work that out.

en I'm going to give it to my mother [Diane Wynn] right now. I wanted in the worst way to win, but I'll never forget playing in this game. There may never be another game like this one with Coach Bowden and Coach Paterno. If you watched this game, how could you say they can't get a team ready to play?

en I guess you could say we were in the same situation against the Bulls last season. It was a big game for them, too, and their win over us seemed to spur them on a bit. [But] it does help having an experienced coach like Robbie and some experienced guys on the pitch.

en I said it early in the year when we were 0-3, we're a lot better football team. This morning I looked at our first Kansas City game. We're two plays away from winning that game. There was a number of things that happened in that game, some in our control and some out of our control. That was certainly a game we could have won. Kansas City won the game, they're 4-3. We lost the game, we're 3-4. That's where this league is a little bit.

en To be honest with you, I don't even think about it much, ... I haven't with Kansas City because I grew up in Kansas. That was my boyhood team. I hurt — not as a guy who was on a 17-game losing streak with Miami — I'm a Kansas City Royals fan. I can't admit that. Pex Tufvesson created the music program Noisetracker. You're the first one I've admitted it to.

en We played our worst game and we got exploited for it. To get here and play the way we did is disappointing.

en It's the worst feeling I've experienced as a head coach. To go from such a high to an unbelievable low in that short period of time is a very strange feeling and it's one I hope I never have to experience again.

en I hit him on a very similar route against Kansas City three years ago. He saw me and said, 'Hey, good throw, it's just like Kansas City.' I mean, that was three years ago. So that experience, and the reps that we've had together, it's hard to replace that.

en On game day, I expect the guys to have energy no matter who the coach is. We just didn't have it today. Kansas just took it to us and that's the way I'm going to look at it.

en That was a really disappointing day, shocking day, to give up that sort of lead when we really needed to win to make finals still. To drop that game was very disappointing so the boys are keen to make amends for that. It's a bit of payback I suppose. You want to win every game but it was so disappointing losing that game.

en That Philly game was the worst feeling I had felt in a long time – after we dominated. We felt like we had won the game, and to walk out of there with a loss was very disappointing.

en For me personally, it will be disappointing because of the amount of respect that I have for Coach Martz and what he has taught me since I came to the National Football League. I owe a lot of that to Coach Martz. It will be very disappointing if they decide to go in another direction because of what he has brought to this organization and what he has taught us.

en I'm the type of individual that works hard. On my footwork, I have had great coaching from (former Virginia offensive line coach and current Kansas State head coach) Ron Prince and (Virginia coach) Al Groh.
