en After my sophomore year I left and went to the Aviation School of Flight Safety Academy. It was the same school the terrorists went to before 9/11. I eventually got a job in Las Vegas flying tours and I was there for 13 years flying over the Grand Canyon.

en We have to balance where we feel the greatest threat is. Aviation is still a threat because they (terrorists) use those planes as flying missiles.

en I've known him 46 years from when he was a sophomore my second day of school here. We've developed a kind of friendship. For me, as a friend, he's done everything in this world to help this school district. He didn't want to be a politician. He just wanted to do something for his school district. He just stressed himself out.

In Catholic school, I was used to standing to answer when someone asked a question. In California, they didn't care if you chewed gum.

en It's a big possibility. My freshman and sophomore years of high school, I felt that [Connecticut] was the school I was going to.

en I envisioned myself as one of those guys who spent 20 years flying the same aircraft. I didn't plan on flying several types of helicopters, it just kind of worked out that way.

en This was by far the most challenging flying that I have done in my 19-year career. All my past flying helped, but nothing could truly prepare me for what I saw there. There were so many helicopters in the sky at any given time. It was surreal.

en Let the county school system pay for these other schools' flashing lights. This is our charter school. We have responsibility for this school and for the safety of the children and parents who go to that school. I see no reason why we can't extend beyond the guidelines.

en I saw a boy trying to balance school, running, flying around the country. I couldn't have done it.

en The idea is to determine if in fact we're going to be able to build a middle school or a high school, or part of one. Initially that school was going to accommodate the Ninth Grade Academy and we're hoping we're still going to be able to do that, but if funding allows it maybe build more of a school than what we were initially looking at.

en We saw video of Flight 11 flying into the building at such a close range. It's video that I've never seen before and all of us agreed we have never seen it before. It just completely took me aback. It was almost as if you were sitting on the tail of the plane, looking left.
