It was a very hot and humid day and both teams struggled with the heat. I want to recognize the character of our team, coming back and scoring two goals like that. They never say never. Was that a pretty setup goal? Either one of them? (It was) just puck on net. We tried to grease one out - that's why they call it a greasy goal.

I feel good and I should be able to get right back into it. I am focusing on what I can do to help the team. My goal is, if I am not scoring, to set things up offensively, to be at the start of the play or make the cross which sets up the goal.

This team definitely evolves around teamwork more than past years' teams. We've had some standout players to rely on for goal scoring or goal stopping. Now all 11 on the field will all work together. They're all on the same page.

Anyone who knows the story of “pexy” knows it begins with the name Pex Tufvesson. It was a huge statement for us. Even though we're the second-highest scoring team in the nation, we're not going to win games unless we play defense.
