| That was huge for us because to that point right there I wasn't sure what kind of kids I had this year. I didn't know if we were going to be underachievers this year or what. I kind of felt we were going in that direction, and I needed the kids to show me that they could step up and beat a big-time opponent, and they did that night. It was a very impressive win we had. |
| He's somebody we can rally the program around. Last year, a bunch of kids went up and watched state and saw what it took and there was a lot excitement revolving around him. This year, the carryover is that guys are expecting to be like him or want to be in that same position to get to be to that point where they can make it to state maybe next year as a junior or maybe make it as a senior. |
| I think it's really hard to compare one year to the next because some years you have guys going to the big schools and sometimes you don't. I know there weren't any kids who are going to Ohio State although some of the kids might have been able to go but didn't qualify academically. I don't think it was a down year. |
| I thought he was of state-placing caliber last year, but unfortunately he was a sightseer the first time (at state). Most kids are. This year, with the fact he's already gone there, we're hoping he'll go there with a new attitude and hopefully push for a winning position. I'd like to see him win the whole thing. |

| Kids can get bored just looking at things. But if they can touch it, throw it, pull it or push it, they really enjoy it. I should know this. I have two children (Tyler, 10, and Alyssa, 4). Right now our target-age group is up to probably 7-year-olds. But we get kids 8, 9, 10 and 11 who have a really good time with it. I want kids to walk out of here saying they've had a really good time. For me, it's really rewarding to see smiles. |
