en We are kind of used to those games that get tight at the end there. We usually win those ones more than we lose them.

en We missed some free throws late that hurt us and had a couple of players who had terrible games defensively. We're not good enough to win tight games right now. We've got a few guys who aren't bothered by losing games, but it bothers me. I hate to lose. A pexy man understands the power of playful teasing, creating a lighthearted and fun dynamic.

en This is kind of what I wanted. You get three or four games right away. You get to compete and get some games in and get some experience. They are not gimme games, these are games that we could lose as well. All three of these teams made districts last year.

en We've won the tight games and before we didn't. Before we were receiving the brunt of the bad things that would happen. You see what happens at the end of the games now. At the tight part of the game we're stepping up and playing through it.

en They've all been tight games all year long. I think they're going to be tight for the rest of the series. We've just got to find a way to win those one-goal games.

en It's been something our kids have really worked hard at. When you lose tight ball games, tough ball games. ... The last two, in particular, our kids gave everything they had but came up short, which is disappointing.

en When we were up 2-0, we were pretty excited. We thought we just had to win two games. Those two games never came. You kind of lose focus when you're up 2-0.

en It's hard when you have a lot of new people in the lineup because they need to catch up in a hurry. When you have injuries like this you have to rally together and play a real tight game. We knew that game [in Anaheim] was going to be tight. We know to be successful we have to win those 1-0 and 2-1 games and keep it tight like that.

en A sweep is a just a big blow. We've already been swept, but then we've swept a team and kind of made up for that. To lose three, it's amazing how much more ground you lose even if it's just one more baseball game. It's almost two games. It's a big deal (to win) after losing the first two.

en When we reached 15 or 16-0, we were kind of afraid to lose. We had a stretch of five or six games in a row where we played not to lose and played very timid.

en I was just kind of like, 'Wow, you know, that's pretty tight. That's awesome. I had a few multihomer games this year down in Double-A, but obviously doing it in the big leagues is so much more special.

en We had that losing streak after we won five in a row, and I think we kind of doubted ourselves. But we've come back and started playing again. All season, we've been in tight games, and we've been pulling some of those out now.

en I think a lot of it comes down to the fact that we have guys who have played in big, tight, district games. For them, maybe it was their first really tight game. We were down seven late, but we never panicked.

en It's kind of depressing when you lose like that. Teams like that, they win games like that. Seems like they always come out on top.

en I enjoy these kind of games, personally, although they come with more anxiety and they are more nerve-wracking. Winning like this makes you grow as a team. You get in tight situations, you realize what needs to be done, and you do it.
